I'm currently using a wheelchair from an injury on top of an inherited disability, and have been here for only 20 days, but it's GREAT for support and information. Trying to lose the weight from sitting so much for 12 months, want better mobility. I wanted to know if there are others 'out there' on MFP dealing with disability or mobility issues, for support? Disability affects how I'm eating and the kinds of movement I can do, and I'd appreciate hearing from some peeps. I can do fast foot pedaling for cardio, floor stretching and movement, and I do physical therapy-aided short distance walking, (and will be getting to swimming) but would be curious as to what everyone else is doing?

well, I am not in a wheel chair anymore, but once was for about a year and a half. Greatfully, I am improving more and more as far as the disibility goes. But from being laid up that long and lack of movement has affected me greatly. I had to build myself up in excersise which I am still doing. I still suffer from pain everyday but am learning how to deal with it during excersise. I know how it can be. and I wish you luck. add me or message me if you would like more support.

    thanks
