here's a question: in my job, i walk back and forth routinely from one station to another. but i AM a bank teller, so i do spend some time just standing/sitting in one place, and on my settings, i have my job described as "sedentary", which it is.

But my question is:

i'm not counting my daily movements as calories burned, because total it's probably an average of 30 minutes or less each day at a slow pace, but should i be? someone said yes the other day, but i thought it was just part of my average calories burned that the site was already calculating in with my "sedentary" job level. thoughts?

I would think that it's accounted for. Even regular "office" workers will get up and walk to the copier, to the water fountain, etc. routinely. I think MFP takes that into account with a "sedentary" job - people still have to get up from time to time!

    I wouldn't worry about it :)
  • that's what i thought, too! and then my friend was like NO YOU MUST COUNT THAT D:<

and even if i was going to think about it....i don't think i would, because then it would give me a false sense of calories burned during the day and i'd eat MORE thinking i could and it would just be a vicious cycle :(

    thanks! :)
