Haven't done it yet, but I'm signed up for the AZ TM in January.

I've done several obstacle races trying to work my way up to Tougher Mudder. Here in SoCal it's 12 miles!

I am lucky because I live in a rural area which allows me to scramble over hills, into gullies and across trails.

Cross training really helps as well as going out on the trails for jogs. If you get a chance to do some of the smaller 5K races do it

    Hope this helps.

Me too! I've never done one either but am going to sign up with a friend and my husband to do it in January in AZ. Very intimidating but am excited to try it. Focusing on strength and interval training more than running and hoping that helps with the obstacles. Will be so awesome to say I've done one! :)

YES! I'm training too. The advice given to me by my friend who's done it....

    Run. Everywhere, all damn day.

I'm doing a similar UK Endurance run on Sunday - I haven't done any specific training at all! I didn't plan to enter, I got pressganged. So now I'm stuck with no time to prepare. Very scared!

I would do lots of outdoor exercise if I were you.

I can run 10K on a treadmill but that's not going to be any comparison AT ALL!
