Hi all!

Just recently found out I'm pregnant! But shhh, I haven't told many people other than rents and sis because I want to wait until I'm further along (I'm about 6 weeks). This is a first for us and it would be nice to talk to someone in the same boat, so I'm reaching out to fellow pals here to try and compare notes, offer support, etc. Anyone cramping like mad?? I AM!!! Anyway, feel free to drop a note here or privately to me, I really am a good ear! :)

Happy friday!

Im not preg at the mo - had a baby almost 6 months ago though! I had cramp like id done loads of sit ups! My abs were aching very bad at the 1st trimester. I think its just wer your muscles have to strecth and seperate to make room for a baby
    Good luck on the pregnancy!

HI, I'm a mom of 4 the youngest is 20 months. Be sure to talk to your Dr. about calorie intake and exercise. If you've just started to lose weight it can be depressing to see the pounds go up as the baby grows, but keeping your body fit during pregnancy is key to losing the baby weight later. Also remember that you will need to start 'eating for two' (but only about 300 extra calories) And MAKE THE CALORIES COUNT! No junk food for the little one, even if you crave the crazy stuff (don't make the same mistakes I did, that's how I got here:laugh: ). Most importantly, enjoy this miracle and take pleasure in the many stages your body will go through. It truly is amazing! Good luck and God bless! If you need to talk don't hesitate to 'friend' me!

MissConfidence - sounds like we might be at about the same place in pregnancy. I am about 6 weeks preggo too - total surprise for us! We have one daughter who is 13 years old, so it's been awhile. :)

I was here trying to lose weight and get fit, but once I learned I was pregnant, I adjusted my fitness goals from trying to lose to just maintain for the first trimester. After that, depending on what the doc recommends, I will probably shift the goal to gaining a 1/2lb or something like that. Hoping for a fit and healthy pregnancy! I've stopped exercising for now because I'm having some issues with bleeding - scary!

I'm already nervous, partly because I'm "old" - I'm 43. And because our first pregnancy was perfect all the way until my 29th week, when my water started to leak, and I was hospitalized for the remainder of the pregnancy. That only lasted 5 days however, and my daughter was born 10 weeks premature. Long 7 weeks in the hospital for her, but we finally got her home, and you'd never know she had a rough start in life - she's perfect. :)
