I love all those campy B flicks from the late 50's and early 60's, when Hollywood was playing on the nuclear radiation fears.

Attack of the 50 ft woman
    Them
    The Crawling Eye

Carrie. Not scary, per se, but I love the filmmaking aspect of it (film minor in college). I also got the sequel and the remake. Call it a guilty pleasure.

Oh that's a toughie! I'd have to say the orginal Halloween just cause it was the first to pop into my head. But love a good zombie flick- loved Dawn of the Dead! Darkness Falls, not a great flick but gave me nightmares for weeks after watching it! From Hell with Jonny Depp! Let me in was a good newer one.

Way too many to mention, but I think the one that really got me was the first Saw. There is nothing like seeing that movie for the first time, amazing! I had nightmares after reading IT by Stephen King, I was 12.

Me too right from the first knock on the door!!. This is how I like my horror/thrillers, relate it to something that can happen to me or that I can empathise with and I'm sucked in. I hate films like Paranormal Activity and Don't be Afraid of the Dark - all mouth and no trousers as it were lol

The Shining is a 1980 psychological horror film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick, co-written with novelist Diane Johnson, and starring Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, and Danny Lloyd. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King.

I found the book much scarier!! although Jack Nicholson did an awesome job

I actually really enjoyed The Ring believe it or not.

but I'm also a big fan of the funny horror films from Raimi like the whole Evil Dead series and of course Drag Me to Hell

Can you call Pitch Black horror? I guess you kind of can. that was great, so sad what they did to that franchise.

But my favorite still has to be The Shining
