Have you tried the 30 Day Shred? Only $10.00 at Wal-mart, and all you need is hand weights, but I use large cans of baked beans!

Try one of Billy Blank's Tae Bo videos. Some of them are easier, but the longer ones are intense. I always feel great after doing one of his videos.

agree with everyone else! jillian is great. I have also been pushing that if you want something intense and different look up amy dixon's Go breathless dvd on amazon. major calorie burn! I also enjoy Turbo Jam which can be bought online on amazon as well. Bob Harper's videos are challenging too. I love them for something different and do them about 1x/ 2 or so weeks because of how sore I get after doing them. I love variety. Hulu can give you some ideas as well for free. Good luck. Totally get your situation. I would love to try P90x as well, can not afford now.:)

Go to myfitnessvideos.com or collagevideo.com. They sell exercise videos for decent prices, much cheaper than beach body. They are just as effective-my personal favorites are Jari Love and Kelly Coffey Meyer-she does a "30 minutes to fitness" series. You can guess how long each workout is-I like to put 'em together to work the whole body. They run btw $10-$15 bucks each.

Or you could watch the video clips of the dvds on collage and then buy them used on Amazon. I've done that before too.

Something like P90X: Supreme 90 Day ~ Uses Dumbbells, Stability Ball (shows options if you don't have this), and mat (not necessary, unless you are exercising on a hard surface). Runs in price between $15-20. It is available at Target or Walmart.

Something like Insanity: Weider X-Factor ST ~ All body weight exercises, no equipment needed. Runs in price $40. It is available at Target (in store) or Walmart (online).
  • I've done P90X and I have Insanity. Love insanity because i didn't have to buy any "extras" (pull up bar, weights, blocks, bands etc.) It is pricey, but well worth it. I also love Turbo Jam and Turbo Fire. I can tell you right now out of all of them the cheapest and funnest one I have bought was the Turbo Jam. And since its actually an "old" workout video you can find them on amazon for cheap or even ebay sometimes for an awesome price. Hope you find somethin your goin to love to do, thats what matters, if you love it, you will keep doin it and if you keep doin it your bound to see great results! Good luck darlin.
  • I use to do the Billy Blanks (Tae Boe), Loved it! I don't even know what I did with those videos. Hmmmmmmmm ;)

Everything everyone has suggested is good. Exercise TV is an excellent way to "test drive" workouts...then if you want you can actually go and purchase the videos. Have you tried looking online (amazon, half.com) those types of places to see if you can find used copies of Insanity/P90X? I would suggest Insanity because you don't need as much equipment as P90X does. IMHO...I didn't want to spend a small fortune on equipment and the workout videos. Sometimes you can find some great deals on amazon for used dvds. You could, actually, probably find all the videos mentioned on here really cheap.

Also, another great place to look is utube...I've found some really great workouts on there...if you want I can look up and send you the name of the chick's utube workouts I like the most. She does a lot of diffent types of workouts and doesn't use a lot of "crazy" different equipment.
