Ladies!!! What do you consider "skinny" for a guy?

I just read another thread about preferred body types, and I kept seeing "not too skinny", but seldom a qualification for that term.

I know this is going to be across the board for answers, but I was just curious what you considered "too skinny" for a guy.

    I like a good 32" - 34" waist on men :)

I hate scrawny men, I like them to be able to give me nice cuddle and keep me warm. Not vice-versa.

Well, the guy I'm talking to is 5'9" or 5'10" and about 140. I like 'em skinny. :) But he wants to gain 10 or so to which I have no objection.

I'd go for a bigger guy over a "scrawny" one.

Women like to feel safe, we like to feel small.

I do not want to feel like I'm going to crush some dude.

I just recently broke into the sub 32" waist category. But I have a 46" chest.
Although my mother now calls me skinny, I highly doubt anyone else could consider me "Skinny" at 6'1" 197.

Muscle tone is key here. Skinny and flaccid is not hot. Skinny and toned, hot. A qualifier, my type has always been "tall, skinny and weird."

I prefer the soccer guy look, some muscle definition but not ripped.

I have issues about my own frame. Even when I weighed 128lbs I still had broad shoulder and wide hips. I like to be with a man who makes me feel smaller. It all goes back to that primal, can he save me from the wild animals, thing. We are slaves to our DNA whether we wish to admit it or not.

You sound perfect to me, I know you look d.a.m.n. good in your jeans.

    This, this, this.

And also the one that mentioned muscle tone... Whoever said soccer player was good. Not skinnier than that. A lot of avid cyclists and runners are too skinny. (no offense to the OP, as I'd say you're definitely in the "just right" category. )

Perfect to me is 30-32" waist and fairly broad shoulders and nice arms, chest, and shoulders. "nice" meaning not scrawny or flabby, but not solid sculpted muscle either, I don't want to cuddle a rock.

I'm a husky chaser :) I like my guys to have broad shoulders big arms big hands feet calves you name it. Although my husband was VERY skinny when we first started dating so I fattened him up real quick lol. Now he is overweight but he looks healthier than before.

Honestly, I have always been attracted to larger men. But "skinny" for a guy would be anything smaller than me, and that encompasses a wide range of body types!

    Skinny but not scrawny

Are you saying that Robert Pattinson is a good size, or too skinny?

To me - Pattinson is borderline too skinny. I tend to like stockier guys, but I have always had a thing for soccer players

I actually prefer skinny guys. :) My husband is one of those skinny guys, just enough muscle tone but he's always weighed less than me (not now though since i"ve lost weight). Too skinny means you can see the ribs very well, where you can tell they definitely don't take care of themselves. I've finally gotten my husband to eat regularly and he's at a healthy mid-range BMI finally. He was on the too skinny side when we first met, had to love 'em so he'd eat more. ;)
  • Hmm.. looks like I need to post since I think the 'ideal' male body is lean but not skinny. :) That basically means lean muscle (i.e. moreso from aerobic activity than body building) but not to the point where you can see knobs or bones poking out.

That said, for me, a body akin to that of Maksim Chmerkovskiy-- a little 'meatier' than lean-- is quite masculine and attractive, teheh.
