I hear you lose a good amount of weight, but gain it back very quickly, regardless of your efforts. A few personal trainers on this site have mentioned this in the forums. Haven't done it myself, though. Who knows. Different things work for different bodies.0

Not familiar with that one. I'm under doctor's orders to limit my carbs to 25 or fewer per day. Been doing that for 7 months now. If that's similar to what you're doing, there are a lot of low-carbers on here who can give you good tips about it.
The important thing on low-carb is to eat plenty of protein so your body is only burning fat, not muscle. But I don't know about "a few days." I don't know any legitimate diet/lifestyle that "works" in just a couple of days. Need to know more about what you're planning, I think, in order to give you good feedback on it.0 -
I followed a carb-free, yeast-free diet and have not gained back the weight I lost. This was a diet my doctor wanted me to be on for 3 months. Well, it was so difficult, I followed it at about 90% for about three months and still lost weight. However, I really can't live like that forever, that's why I joined this site so I can monitor my eating without being so drastic. Many times, making drastic changes will set us up for failure.
Note that my doc prescribes this diet not to lose weight, but to cleanse the body of harmful yeast buildup -- losing weight is just a pleasant side effect. I was never totally convinced I had a serious yeast problem, so that may have been why I didn't go full 100% on this diet.
Anyway, it works, but it takes a strong person to continue it.0 -
Hi, this is the body trim diet, and for the 1st 3 days you only have protein , and nothing else, then after that, just a few carbs, It does work , but hard to stick to,,Im really just doing it to support my daughter inlaw, she wants to lose a few quick calories.0

Yeah, you are probably right,I have done this several times before, and the Atkins way, But I think its up to the individual, when you go off the diet, eat healthy,Most tend to think,, Yay,I can have some treats, and over do it,.I think that can happen on most restrictive diets, where certain foods are not allowed, cos of course, then our bodies crave, what,we cant have. Everything in moderation i believe, exercise everyday, I'm only doing this for a few days.0
