It kinda pains me to reveal this little quirk of mine... but here it goes...I love 80s music! Granted I was only 8 when the 80s ended, but i feel i grew up in the wrong decade. So i am here to get peoples suggestions for a work out mix comprised of only 80s music.

Once I get a list of songs i will then weed through them and pick out the top15-30 depending on how many responses i get. And will later post my work out song list for you all to enjoy! So feel free to suggest any number of songs from the 80s. Can be any genre and any artist!

I'll list a couple of my fav's ....

Billy Idol- Dancing With myself
The Cars- You might think
George Harrison- I got my mind set on you

Ok, please help me out guys

Dude. Join Pandora and add the 80's pop playlist to it. great music and you can "like" and "dislike" songs. the ones you like will be played more often and the ones you dislike won't be played as often. I love this ****. As I told one of my friends on here, there aren't many exercises that my lazy *kitten* has motivation to do, but dancing to the 80's is definitely one of them!
  • A few of my favorites. Not sure if they qualify though lol. XD

    Sweet Child o Mine..Guns N Roses
You give love a bad name..Bon Jovi
Welcome to the Jungle ...Guns N Roses
    Dont stop Believin ..Journey
  • Boys of Summer is always a classic. I was an 80's teen, so yea, the music is fun!
let's see - anything by whitesnake!
    Take on me by Ah-ha
oh, Bonnie Rait! Something to talk about!

"Whisper to a Scream" by Icicle Works is pretty good for me.

"I Ran" by Flock of Seagulls accompanied me up a hill I had never (until that day) made it up all the way running. It's now my "go to" song when I need it.

"Could You Be the One" by Husker Du is another.

I'd have to look at my iPod to get more in depth, but there's probably a good 10 songs on my list from the 80s.

EDIT: Lord forgive me, but how could I have left out Safety Dance!

I bought 101 80's Hits and then 101 More 80's Hits to use in my gym but found they don't tend to be fast enough to keep people moving on ellipticals and bikes.

I graduated high school in 1988, so I speak with some authority. LOL

You cannot LOSE with Def Leppard, REO Speedwagon, Kenny Loggins (Top Gun Soundtrack), Dead or Alive, Aha "Take On Me", Richard Marx, Foreigner, Hall and Oates

There are so many! I would check out Youtube and choose one or two of these and see what suggestions come up.

Curious to know what you come up with. :)

Direct TV has an 80s Classic Rock Workout station. I love it! Sometimes I just turn it on and dance around the living room for a while. I also agree about Pandora, it will start to build a station based on your preferences.

OH!! Pour some Sugar on Me by Def Leppard. I'm not sure if it's had the same effect on anybody else, but it makes me want to take my clothes off. Also, that might not be appropriate for the gym, so listen at your own risk. your clothes may just fly off before you know what's happening.
