Well, I was referred last week to try the app on my phone. I must admit it has a lot more than what I had thought. I just need to take the time to use it. Today another friend referred the app to me again. It looks like I'm in it to win it now. I was able to be friends on the site with one of my friends which will help keep us both motivated. I have lost 10 pounds in 10 days just by eating small meals several times a day. I realize the first was water weight however I am on a mission. I did it before and need to do it again. Just 35 more to go!!! I love the bar code scanner I just found, that will save me a lot of time. Any tricks of the trade when you make you own foods and calculating the calories? I am really hoping a lot of what I eat is already listed as a choice :) It's hard for me to track as I eat because I can't be on my phone or personal internet while at work in my position. I have to set an example ya know... Thanks everyone and looking forward to continued success.

Hi, welcome to the site. I've been here a couple of days and love it. I log my food as I eat, I find it easier than writing things down. I hope you enjoy it. You can add me add well, if you'd like.

  • Welcome vixenmom, Stay excited and stay focused on your goal. Friend me if you need encouragement or support and please be prepared to reciprocate if needed. This site works well as long as you check in after every meal and snack so you don't lose track of any calories, simple really, but dedication is necessary. Good luck to you.

    Hello,
I'm new to MFP also. I have lost over 100 pounds so far and I'm down to the lat 16. I was looking for a site that I could track my daily food as I transition and maintain my weight loss. This looks like a great site with much support. Glad to be here.

Welcome to MFP. I hear there is a recipe section (under the food tab) were you can type in the ingredients you are using and how many it serves and it is suppose to calculate the total calories. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but sounds interesting. Also if you keep a small note book in your purse to write down what you eat during the day (the old fashioned way) you can enter it when you get home. Feel free to add me as a friend if you like.
