HOW DO I GET ENOUGH CALARIES WITHOUT EATING WHAT IS BAD FOR

Options
Hey All,
I started my diet over a week ago. Everyday, I eat what is in my Weight Watchers Cookbook; but it seems I am having trouble breaking 900 calories. I eat and eat and still it doesnt add up to what I am supposed to be eating . Any suggestions anyone?

If you're eating things like lite bread or low fat yogurt, swtich to the regular versions. And don't avoid fats - a little of the healthy ones are good for you and will add some calories in as well.

You could add in some whole grains. A half cup of cooked whole wheat pasta drizzled with a little olive oil and tossed with salt and pepper goes great with grilled chicken and veggies!

dont be afraid of foods that have fat. you need it (skin, hair nails, digestion, to name a few.) Just keep your levels of sturated fats low and stay away from trans fats.

Throw nuts into a salad, or add some yogurt to fruit.

900 is indeed way too low.

Not sure how you can't find any good calories. I eat plenty of healthy foods every day and end up around 1570-1800 cals

    Breakfast
    Oatmeal or grits
Either 2 eggs or 5 egg whites
    bananas
    grapes

    Snack
    Peanuts no salt or almonds

    Lunch
    tuna fish w/ brown rice
    sriracha sauce
    low sodium teriyaki
    avocados
    carrots
    salad w/ vinagarette dressing

    Dinner
    Steak
    broccoli
    Grilled chicken

    Water
    120 oz or more.

Stop cooking like you are still doing WW. You can use regular food. I know the problem. Been there done that. I still use some of my WW recipes however, I don't use the light version on some of the items now. I still cook with the 7% fat ground beef and other items. Eat a real egg, eat regular cheese and other items that we didn't waste points on. Oh yeah, regular salad dressing!

    Good Luck!

    1) Hit your macro targets, e.g. protein etc.

    2) Know your calorie target.

    3) Try to eat healthier most of the time.

    4) Make up those missing calories with ANYTHING YOU FANCY!

    5) Repeat.

Eater higher calorie, healthy foods. I.e., nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios, walnuts), dried fruit and peanut butter.
