Greetings! I'm just finishing up my first week on MFP, and am doing it along with my brother on a "I want abs for Christmas" challenge. Overall, I'm fairly healthy, but I'm becoming much more aware of portion size and certain foods by going on this challenge. It's also been a fun way to stay in touch. Good luck to everyone out there! I'm eating my "high-protein" steel cut oatmeal favorite dish as I speak (complete with one egg white mixed in, almonds and a couple banana hunks...yummmmmm) and about to head out for a morning hike. Have a great weekend!!

Abs? I just want to find my waistline......

I remember having one, I just don't know where I put it, hahaha

I can sense a film being made about it - Indianna Jones and The Search For The Lost Waist, lol
  • Ha, yes, it's important to find waistline AND then perhaps search for the abs. I'm a big believer that abs are "made in the kitchen." Certainly, I'm trying to build strength through yoga, core classes, planks at home, some TRX trainer, etc. That said, the main issue (at least for me) is to burn enough belly fat--through watching my nutrition--that you can actually see the muscle rather than the nice overlay of fat. :-) It means getting quite lean, and perhaps might not be something that I can actually get to. That said, I do think it's potentially attainable--at least some definition if not a six pack. And, definitely more attainable for men then women. We'll see!
