Im planning to start my fitness journey, by creating a better sleeping pattern for myself to maximize my weightloss. I just dont know if its okay to be awake for 16 hours and sleep for 8? What time do you wake up and go to sleep?

I try to get at least 8 hours a night, but if I need more, I'll go to bed early. Usually 11 PM is bed time, and 7 am is wakeup time. Just listen to your body, because sleep does contribute to successful results. Good luck!0

Try to get atleast 8 hours a night but not more than 10 hours. 8 hours a night helps with muscle growth, when gaining muscle sleep is where the magic happens.0

you need more sleep Sunshine_88, that goes for everyone whos not getting enough sleep. The 2 main things that grow the MOST muscle are sleep, and proper nutrition (unless you're using steroids haha)0

I have a difficult time sleeping because I'm an extreme night owl, and my job requires me to get up early during the week. M-F, I usually try to go to bed by 11-11:30 pm, but it takes me awhile to fall asleep. I get up at 6:30, except on Wednesdays when I get up at 5:30 because I have to be at work an hour early. On the weekends, I go to bed whenever I want (late, usually) and sleep until 11 am- noon. I know you're supposed to try to keep a consistent schedule and whatnot, but I absolutely refuse to get up at 6:30 am for no reason on the weekends- sleeping in is one of things I most look forward to, haha!0
