Starvation Mode? NEAT!

You don't break your metabolimm from eating to little, nor do you "trick" your metabolism by eating more.
For those of you that plateau from eating too little, and/or break your plateau from eating more, the explanation is most-definitely a spontaneous decrease/increase in NEAT (Nonexercise activity thermogenesis).
Simply put, if you eat too little you have an unconscious tendency to move less, while increasing calories can have the reverse effect.

I really like this.. cause I am not a fan of hearing about 'starvation mode' and I like this scientific explanation, ..but I don't understand because before I started dieting I used to eat way over on calories, but I hardly moved from my desk or couch nor felt any tendency to move more..0

The response to overfeeding is highly individual and also dose-dependent. If you aren't eating enough, increasing calories may correspond with increased activity to a point. But of course if you eat too much, it can have the reverse effect.0 -
That makes sense. Thanks.0
