Just was curious if it matters when you drink your water like i know I always hear at least 8 glasses will help with weight loss so would drinking several through out the day have the same effect as drinking 8 at one time ha kinda dumb but just crossed my mind.

I don't think it really matter that much - but it is probably better to spread them out some lol. I usually drink most of my water during/after my workouts on workout days, just because that is when I'm the most thirsty! :) But I count my tea, or even coffee on the rare times I have a little bit of it towards my water consumption since both are mostly water.
  • as long as you get the reccomended amount, it dosn't matter the portion

i drink 3, 32 oz glasses of water plus an extra 16 oz sometimes, but it's spreadout throughout the day

Think its better to spread out your water consumption. I have read about people dying from drinking a shed load of water in one go (was a huge amount of water). Guess your body uses water throughout the day so best to keep hydrated.

It doesn't matter, just drink when you're thirsty. Drinking 8 glasses at once would be way too much, you'd hear the water sloshing around whenever you move.

I spread it out throughout the day... I don't like the glurp glurp glurp of a full water belly... hehe.. my son thinks it is a pretty cool noise...

I sometimes only drink 1 or 2 glasses/day but sometimes upward of 8 or 10. I genuinely don't think you need that much and it's probably best to space it out. 8 glasses in one sitting isn't the same as one every hour for 8 hours.

I came here to say "fish don't drink water" but I see that has been mentioned.

I try to drink my weight in ounces of water, pure tap water, every day. I don't always get it done but most of the time I do. I find that I feel more bloated the faster I drink so I try to pace myself but if it's ice cold...boy, it goes down easy these days. I HATED water 2 years ago when I started trying to drink more but now I LOVE it and that's really all I drink. I'll drink some iced tea if we're out running the road in the Jeep but otherwise, it's water at home. Oh, and wine. :drinker: LOL

I don't know if it matters, but I was watching a documentary about wild animals in Africa going to the water hole at sunrise and sunset and decided to try drinking most of my water twice a day and, well, it works for me.

"Fish don't drink water" did cross my mind, lol. But let's be fair... "drink like a fish" is a common expression and usually refers to alcohol. And I'm pretty sure they don't drink that!

8 @ one time is pointless. It's better to drink a couple first thing in the morning then another glass every hour or so.
