Holy cow! The last week already! This has been a blast! 24 miles is going to be tough this week. I plan on getting at least 32 hours in 3 days at work so I can take 2 days off. Son's last football game of the season is being played in the afternoon on Thursday and Friday we will be taking our first campus tour.

You all have been so inspirational. Thru all that has been thrown your way - I would have given up on this challenge thru all of them. It is because this thread that I decided to try my first 10k and now aspire to do my first 1/2 marathon next fall. You gals rock!! I don't know if I would have stuck with this had it not been for your words of encouragement and support!! Thank you for making me accountable :drinker:

    LET'S DO THIS!!!

NO!!!! This can't be the last week!!! This 8 weeks has just flown by! Who's going to hold me accountable? Thamre I am with you, if it weren't for all you ladies on here I would have NEVER forced myself to push through the miles.

Thank you all so very much. Here's to us, those remaining from our original 10. This has been an amazing journey. :drinker:

I managed to squeeze in a quick 2 mile walk last night. Probably won't get anything in tonight or Wednesday nite as I will be putting 12 hours in each day (minimum). But should be able to get the rest in by the end of the week.

Hey, I'm thinking about another challenge similar to this one. A race from Baltimore, MD to Cove Fort, UT down I-70. I still have to hash out details, but would any of you be interested in joining?

Alright, I have more details: 226 miles at your own pace by Dec 31st starting Monday.
It's a race from MD to UT, so here's the mileage per state:

    MD 9
    PA 16
    WV 14
    OH 22
    IN 15
    IL 15
    MO 25
    KS 42
    CO 45
    UT: 23

I'm thinking of making it a 20 person challenge so I end up with 8 or so lol
Any takers? I figured I'd give you guys dibs :)

So finished the week ok. Did 6.7 miles yesterday. Did the 5k today, twice, sorta. We were very early, so we walked the course. They said it was actually a little more thank a 5 k. Don't have official times, but think I did it around 33:30, I am very ok with that, was really worried I would poop out and not run the whole way, but as I reached the 1/2 way point and passed a guy that kept darting in front of me I knew I could do it! GO ME!!! :drinker:
