Working out at home- PJ's or no PJ's?

When I work out at home (which is the only place I ever work out) I never wear actual exercise clothes, I always just throw on a tank top and some cotton shorts and I'm good to go. Half the time I don't even wear shoes, which i heard was better for your burn. But that's now why I don't, I'm just too lazy to put them on. (Irony?)

Do you guys go all out for home workouts, or do you just stick to some comfy clothes?

I wear work out clothes because it puts me in a "work out" mentality. I wish I were like you and could wear lounging clothes to work out, but if I did I'd probably take naps instead of work out.

At home is usually tank top and shorts or sports bra shorts but I do wear my shoes.
  • I do the same thing even go barefoot!! Love it! I dont see the point in buying special clothes cause someone deems them for workouts.. I wear whats I got! Lol.

It is quite often I will just put on a sports bra and some undies. Clothes just get in the way.

I usually just hop on the treadmill when I'm downstairs putting a load of laundry in the washer. I'm usually in my sweats and t-shirt and I NEVER have my shoes on:) I walk until the washer is done and then I go back upstairs! Works out great!

I wear my workout clothes, shoes and all. It gets me in the zone. If I wear comfy clothes, or even sit and relax a little when I get home it's game over for me.

If I am working out at home I wear what is comfy! Now if I am going to the gym. . then I will wear a workout outfit. And it really depends on the workout as to how much support you need while working out!

So true! For instance at the gym I wear 2 sports bras so they don't jiggle everywhere when running LMAO

    Shorts & Sportsbra at home.

That's the best way to go.

And I have hardwood floors, so it's either shoes or barefoot. If I try working out in my socks, I'll bust my *kitten*.
  • PJ's all the way!! :D

Oh yeah, and I hardly ever wear shoes either! :P

I don't wear workout clothes. I wear what's comfortable to me and I've exercised barefooted too.

I also have hardwood floors, but I have this thing about not wearing socks... I can't do it. It feels gross to me o.o

I also have a phobia of feet haha

I would def wear shoes, then. You don't want to risk slipping and pulling a muscle or something. I got some ballet shoes for my house, actually. [:

I gotta wear specific clothes when I work out, just cause I don't like getting my nice stuff (or my favorite comfy clothes!) all gross and sweaty. So yeah, a sports bra, athletic tank, and some light shorts that can breathe. Always wear my sneakers too - cause I really need the support under my feet for Turbo Fire.

I wear whatever I want, I work out a lot at home so I usually wear a shirt and shorts. I don't really think its a big deal to wear certain clothes to work out.

I only wear workout clothes when I leave the house to go to the gym or for a walk. At home, I either wear my jammies or go nude (not so much the latter because certain parts of me jiggle a bit too much for the neighbors).

Haha your comfy clothes sound like what I wear in public, even at the gym :D Wear whatever makes you comfortable! It will make your workout more enjoyable.

I get up and work out in my PJs. This can be anything from going on my treadmill to lifting weights or doing an exercise DVD. Then I will have a shower and put my PJs in the wash, and then come and have breakfast.

Prefer to use PJs as they'd be going in the wash anyway, so might as well do that rather than dirtying workout clothes and having to wash them as well.

In public, I wear "legit" workout clothes, but at home I usually just wear cotton shorts and a tank top. The only things I always make sure to wear is a proper sports bra and my running shoes. To whoever posted that they go on the treadmill barefoot, I don't know how that doesn't hurt your feet! The little bumps on the track would definitely not be comfortable for me; It would be like walking barefoot on the street...though I guess some people do that too!
