How Much Weight Should you Lose A Week.
Im Losing a lb to half a lb a week sometimes i lose a whole 2lb in a week but then wont lose anything or 2 weeks.
Should I Be Happy That Im Losing weight very slow.

Is That True? If It Takes Along time to come off it will stay off better0 -
You are doing well. Slow and Steady is good and you are more likely to keep it off. :flowerforyou:0

Looks like a good pace to me.
Slow changes are always going to be better, if nothing else because you spend more time in the mindset of being healthy so it's more likely to stick.
It's being healthy that's important; the weight is just a part of it.
Hang in there!0 -
I think that kind of loss sounds good - I know it can be difficult to stay motivated when there's no loss one week, but I do try and keep an eye on the long term picture.0

Thank You Just some days its like will i ever get to the lost 99lb mark. and makes me feel frustrated0 -
You should look at each week individually. What was your food and exercise like? If your food's the same, then maybe you gained some or more muscle from one week to the next. Me, for example, this week I've lost 2 pounds; last week 0.8. It always varies, but slow and steady is best! Good Luck!!0

Good advice from everyone...yes..Slow and steady is good!!..Keep at it!!!..:)0

I think a slow loss is best, think how long it took for the weight to go on - you cant expect it all to come off at once. I know it is frustrating when you dont see much change from week to week, I only lost half a pound this week and it is disappointing, but then you have to look a the bigger picture and see how much you've already lost. You are doing really well, keep going and you will get where you want to be.0

If it takes a longer time you are more likely to be in more of a healthy mindframe than a skinny mindframe, and less likely to binge or give up.
Also, means that loose skin will most likely not rear its ugly head.0 -
Slow and steady wins the race!0

I always wanted to drop the weight fast at first but then saw program Embarrassing Fat Bodies, where people had lost loads of weight fast and gone in with loads of excess folds of skin around the middle and hanging down.. which made me glad mine has gone slow cos my skin is still smooth and I'm very slowly building muscle as I'm losing the fat.
I'm happier now I've got past the stage of over 1 stone lost and its stayed off, some weeks nothing happens but then suddenly 2-5lb might come off, as long as it's not going up in other direction I'm happy and my tummy has shrunk from 48" to 37 " since I started, waist down to 33" from 38 ". Now in UK Size 16 (from 20)0 -
Sounds like a good plan. I go through phases where my exercise is up and I lose more but it worries me! Slow is good, less chance you will 'rebel' against your calorie allowance too. Well done!0

I hope I am going to live another 40 years at least ... the change I need is of lifestyle, cravings and mindset and the scales will follow.
You are doing great, don't fret :-)0 -

Yes, it's true. Rapid weight loss is usually water and not body fat. The slower you lose the more likely you are maintaining your proper hydration levels while losing body fat.0 -
Sounds good to me.0

As long as you are losing anything (assuming not lean body mass) its all good and it adds up over time0

I'd say from 1 to 2 lbs is ideal/healthy. But whats the rush? No need to rush the weightloss because each of our bodies are different and will respond differently. Just know that you are closer to your goal everyday. Stay positive and take your time along this journey. That a way you will get the chance to learn and grow a better understanding to how YOUR body works!0
