Does anyone else do this? I was in the dining hall and Grape Nuts and Cheerios looked good, so I had that with soymilk. Then went back for fruit. Then went back for half a bagel with peanut butter. Grabbed an apple on my way out and ate it in the library... Now I've already had about 1030 calories today and it's hardly 11:00AM! Meh...

At least I'm full now. I think I'm gonna go to the gym later instead of lunch, and then have a reasonable dinner. What do you do when/if this happens to you??

I either work out to "earn" my next meal, or I stop eating :) I've never eaten my whole days worth at breakfast (yet), but certainly by lunch :)

if you're working out, you might want to consider raising your calorie allowance.
  • For lunch eat something high in protein cuz its low in calories and helps you feel full, go to gym in afternoon burn off like 300-400 calories and eat a light dinner high in fiber
  • I try and make up for it with a 20 or 30 mile bike ride. Can't blow the budget like this every day but once in a while you just do. As long as it's a rare thing then "tomorrow is always another day" where you can pick back up and continue on the path.
  • I don't usually do that at breakfast but I have definitely ate a day or twos worth of calories at dinner!! Make sure you eat something that rest o f the day or you'll be starving tomorrow... try to eat back and few calories and have some salad and chicken later.

I've only been doing this for a few days, but I can tell you this never happened to me. I can hardly eat breakfast at all. That's one meal I'm starting to eat. I think it's great that you have a healthy appetite for breakfast. I'd work out more, and burn some of them off, so you could have a healthy lunch and dinner. I hope this helps you....

I went way off last night...had all my meals/treats for the day and then went to my friend's for a movie. BAM: chips, ice cream, cookies...you name it! Just realize we all make mistakes, drink lots of water, workout, and get back on it tomorrow! :)
  • Workout more !!! Or eat less later for Dinner like you said.. If you have the power that day :)

Add eggs or turkey sausage to your breakfast. If you're vegan, add some "morning star" Sausage to your bkfst routine. It will fill you up more and you won't eat so many carbs in the A.M.

Thanks, all, for the tips! I really should eat more protein at breakfast... problem is that I am vegan and the dining hall at school doesn't serve meatless breakfast sausage or anything like that...

My usual breakfast is oatmeal with a banana chopped in it and a sprinkle of raisins. No added brown sugar. Don't know what got into me today!

I am not a big breakfast eater but my dietitian advised me to eat more protein early in the day. If you're looking for another breakfasty protein option, Kashi's Go Lean Crunch has 9g of protein. That with soy milk and some cut-up fruit (banana, peach, etc.) is a pretty good start. If you're eating in a group setting, you might be able to bring in your serving of cereal and then get the soy milk and fruit from the dining hall.
