Hi everyone, first day on MFP and I noticed this topic so here I go! I'm an East Coast Canadian trying to lose some weight that has snuck up on my over the years and start training to run a 5K in the spring. I would have said winter but as those are typically brutal here I'm being realistic :)

Hoping to meet some good people on this site and get motivated in this journey. It's always better when you have a support structure in place so here goes!

    you could always run 5k's down south where it is warmer lol

  • Welcome fellow Canadian. All the best to you in running and completing the 5K. I think its good that you have this goal set before as inspiration. This is a great website and I encourage you to remain accountable to it. I joined up just over 55 days ago and lost 11 lbs by following its simple guidelines. There is much here to push you on. Glad that you are on board. Enjoy the journey.
