Those who are watching their fat intake to make sure it's high enough....
****If you opt for a low fat lifestyle, that's great, us high fat eaters like it this way, no fat debate here please***
1. What is the minimum grams of fat you aim for each day?
2. Do you have a maximum you try not to go over, or is that irrelevant to you?
3. Which fat source is your favorite?

I know for men in particular going any lower than around 30 grams of fat a day is terrible, and it's at this point where men will start having issues with their testosterone levels. So obviously for women going much lower would have similar bad side effects. I typically calculate mine by taking my bodyweight and using 35% of it as my daily fat intake. For example, I weight right around 172-73 lbs right now so if I take my bodyweight and multiply it by .35 the end result is right around where I want my fat intake to be for the day. (173x.35= ~61 grams) and I believe mine sit around 65g for the day out of personal preference. As far as what are good fats, FISH OIL number one, other than that any type of nuts, fats from meat are fine peanut butter etc.0

What fat count do I aim for? Usually 80-100 grams. Sometimes it's higher and sometimes it's lower. Do I have a maximum? No, but it's so much harder to overeat fat than it is to overeat carbs. Or combinations of the two. I could eat six donuts if I wanted to, but anything more than a tablespoon or two of butter isn't something I could personally stomach. As for my favorite sources, hmm... anything natural. Chicken with the skin on (yum... or turkey), ribeye, coconut oil, pecans (mmm...) and of course, butter!0

1. 60g

3. I love peanut butter. It gets added to most of my meals0 -

1. 67g - that's based on 30% of intake, before exercise. (I've lost perspective here.. is that considered "high"?)
2. Not really
3. Peanut butter or cheese0 -
I don't aim for a specific number. I just eat until satisfied
however, I do aim to get 50% or more of my daily calories from fat0 -
1) I have my fat set to 35% of my calories which gives me 109g before exercise - I don't see this as a minimum though, just a goal that I should be around. Today I got 94g but usually have 100-120 depending on exercise. I don't really think of a minimum but I suppose I wouldn't like to be under 70g.
2) Don't really have one but I try not to go too far over any of my goals, so I suppose it would be around 20g over my goal, <10g desirable.
3) Usually I get most of my fat from red meat, olive oil, butter/margarine, eggs and cheese.0 -
I eat until I am satisfied. It typically is around 50% of calories. Favorite sources.... all of them? Usually grass-fed butter like Kerrygold and I also love extra virgin coconut oil.0

1. I try to get it to 100g per day.
2. I just don't know besides feeling satisified if I'm ever over-doing it besides the other day I was trying to go for a personal record of 200g in a day. I was full for days.
3. I prefer it from the fat drippigs from red meat and coconut oil. Not a big butter eater, dont know why.0 -

Oh wait, probably because I've never tasted Kerrygold butter...haha0 -
any reason for trying to get to 200g fat?
I had tried for ages to get to 400g of carbs with relatively low fat on workout days and that was quite a mission. (low fat being about 90g or less)0 -
I don't really aim for anything, but MFP is set for 57 g and I usually exceed that by a fair bit
Irrelevant to me, my really high fat days are when I feel like a BLT for breakfast.
coconut oil, coconut milk, full fat greek yogurt, avocado and hemp oil.0 -

Chris, You're a weenie!0 -
I eat between 1200 and 1600 calories a day and I aim for 30-50 grams of fat. If I'm over that's fine as long as I'm not consistently over in my calories.
Occasionally I'll have eggs with three whites and only one yolk to save on calories when I find I need a bit more protein but not extra fat and calories, but only if I think I'm going to go over on my overall calories.
My favorite sources for fat are nuts, extra virgin Lebanese olive oil, sesame tahini, cheese and avocados
I also love love love chicken skin and I'll bake up some chicken thighs with skin on once or twice a month as a treat, but mostly I try to get the majority of my fat from plant sources.0 -
80-100g0

About 100-120g fat/day. I don't have an upper limit so long as my macros stay around 60-70% fat, less than 5% carbs, and the rest as protein, but I rarely meet my calorie allotment in a day - I set it a little higher so that my carb count would be 5%, and I just remember that when I eat. My preferred fat sources are from cheese, coconut oil, and olive oil. I do like butter and heavy cream a lot, I just tend not to eat much unless it's in the base of a sauce I'm making.0

1. 70% or higher, which equates to 130 grams or more.
2. No, the more fat I eat, the better I feel and no cravings.
3. Coconut Oil, bacon fat, home rendered beef tallow and my new found love of avocados.0 -

1. I don't really have a minimum I aim for, but I generally hit at least 100g.
