Grumbly tummy

I've been following MFP, I workout, drink lots of water, eat within my micros, and I eat my exercise calories back. I am still hungry!!
What do you do if/when this happens to you? Just drink water or add more food? I really don't want to work out more just to earn more food since I already put in a good 30-45 minutes of intense working out per day.

Pay attention to what you eat. Are some foods leaving you unsatisfied? Do you notice if you eat something you're hungry immediately after and your tummy is grumbly? It might be food intolerances, too. I would eat pasta and immediately be hungry AND have a noisy tummy after, cut out gluten and I have a much happier tummy, so make sure it's not just being hungry, but track what foods aren't keeping you full.

I always wondered if your stomach shrinks/gets used to smaller portions. I'm so used to eating until I was full/overly full. Now that I am trying to stop just before that full sensation, I just hope that I am able to stick to it this time. I just hate throwing away perfectly good food

What about water? Mybe your thirsty not hungry. Natural peanut butter or peanuts, almonds. They stay with you for a awhile.

a clear soup as a starter for dinner is a clever tip I read! Our bodies, oddly, don't turn on the "I'm full" switch right away when we eat. Having a clear soup (vegetable soup, chicken soup, just not cream-based--which would obviously be fatty and calorie-rich) fills you and gives more time for your body to realize, "Hey, I'm full." Best wishes. MFP is where you need to be: stick with it, you will do great.

in addition to water, try eating more smaller meals spaced throughout the day. I find when I eat a few big meals, I'm more likely to get hungry between meals. Smaller meals spaced throughout the day seem to keep me fuller

I find a little protein helps. Try a 100 calorie or less snack...hard boiled egg or smoked salmon or some deli turkey slices. If it's bulk you want, I always love a big leafy salad with some of that protein on it and fat free or low fat dressing...very filling and big!

I have a very similar issue I find that when Im in my calories allowance Im often starving! I hope it gets better over time but some days I am just too hungry and have to go over at least a little, I try and keep it healthy if I am going to over

Maybe you need more than 1200 calories a day as your base level (before exercise). If you're hungry, I think you should listen to your body and eat something!

I never went as low as 1200 calories a day, and haven't had any trouble losing weight consistently.

That's what I was going to say. Find out your BMR (how much you burn just being you) and TDEE (how much you burn throughout the day). That will give you a better idea of where your calories should be set.
