I see that this documentary is on Netflix and I would like to watch it. Here is the thing...I can't handle gore...or watching animals being killed. Is this film super graphic? I know it's changed the way a lot of people eat but I want fair warning of what I will see.

Stupid question?

YA IT IS GORY. I wouldn't watch it while eating if you have an easy stomach. VERY GOOD MOVIE really expanded my box.

On a scale of 1-10 I'd say the gore is 5. You see more chickens being kicked than you do animals being gutted. If I remember correctly.

The movie is much less gory than what I came across at meat.org, so as long as you avoid that website your ok!!

I think everyone should watch it. There were a couple of parts where I just had to look away. That being said, it is a real eye-opener!!!

It is a bit graphic, but not as bad as some other documentaries I've seen. Earthlings would be one you wouldn't want to see if you can't handle gore at all.

Saying that, it was a good doco and very informative. It gives a total rundown/breakdown of the food industry and how the fast food chains have uniformed/shaped the food chain of today.

I am vegetarian and it was difficult for me to watch, but it is still a very good and interesting movie. I would still suggest watching it.

I didn't think it was super gory. It was really informative and educational. I recommend it to anyone who cares about where our food comes from in this country.

Watch it. More disturbing than gory. But either way, its reality. You should know what you're eating.

I watched it while eating oatmeal...but I watch a lot of gory movies. It is worth watching.

I wouldn't call it gory though, just a bit graphic.

It's a bit graphic, and some people would probably say a bit sad on some parts, but you mostly see animals in bad conditions (feed lots) or chickens being tossed around, nothing like breaking necks or splitting them up that I remember.

I watched this last night. It was not gory. There were a few dead chickens (not bloody)just dead. There may have been a cow that had injuries but again no gore and this scene was very short.

It sure made me think twice about what I eat. If I had the room to grow and raise all of our food from organic seed and stock I would do it in a heartbeat after watching this movie.

I would recommend it. It's very informative and I don't normally consider myself an alarmist.

It's a fantastic documentary ! EVERYONE MUST WATCH IT !!
Don't be afraid, it's reality and truth. After you watch it, you will be glad and you'll want to tell everyone you know to watch it also.

  • It's really not that gory. Some of the facts are just sad and/or shocking. I recommend it though.
