I need some ideas for some 300 cal breakfasts! I'll share one I have..
Mexican style eggs!
2 large eggs
1 whole grain tortilla
1/4 cup low fat cheddar cheese, shredded (i don't include cheese)
1/2 cup fresh berries
Scramble eggs in pan with non stick cooking spray. Pile in tortilla and add cheese. Serve berries on side.
301 cal, 23 gram protein, 28 gram carb, 12 gram fat, 6 gram fibre
I got this from the insanity elite nutrition book (divine!)
But I need other ideas guys..Pictures are nice too!!

2/3c. of low fat cottage cheese
1/2 of a banana
1/2 c. of chopped strawberries
5g of flaked almonds
= 258 calories.
Add my morning skinny latte and I consume 329 calories. You can save 30 calories by skipping the almonds.0 -
These sound yummy, here's my favourite brekkies:
Egg and veggie scramble
1/2 red capsicum, diced
1/2 small zucchini, diced
3 medium mushrooms, dices
1 clove garlic, crushes
1 tsp olive oil
Cook these until the mushrooms and brown and the garlic is cooked.
Break in 2 eggs and stir around till they are cooked.
This is going to come out around 250 cals or less, depending on how many veggies you use, whether you use olive oil or oil spray, how big your eggs are etc.
It's also good with 1/2 or 1/4 cup brown rice added in after the veggies are cooked - if you use 1/4 cup rice it should still come in under 300 cals.
Fruit, muesli and yoghurt
1/2 appple,
1/2 orange
1/2 kiwi fruit
2 large strawberries
Dice the fruit and top with 1/3 cup muesli and 100g nonfat natural yoghurt.
The cals will vary depending on your brands of muesli and yoghurt but this is usually about 280 cals
Porridge with peanut butter and pear (or appe or your fruit of choice)
1/3 cup rolled oats
2/3 cup water.
Microwave for 1:30
Add 1/3 cup skim milk
Microwave for another 1:30
Stir in 1 tsp peanut butter and 1/2 pear diced.
About 240 cals, depending on your brands.
Toasties
2 slices wholegrain bread
2 slices light jarlsberg cheese
Sliced red capsicum
baby spinach leaves
Layer the spinach, capsicum and cheese on the bread and grill until melted and yummy.
Just under 300 cals.0 -
this is a big bowl of oatmeal that tastes like pumpkin pie... for only 270 calories.
