    I set mine for 1 lb per week. When I achieve more than a pound, I am even more encouraged. Most times I have lost around two pounds; however some weeks I average one. The smaller goal makes me feel better about my progress. That's just my opinion.

    One pound, definitely. It is much easier, and you will be less likely to put the weight back on afterwards if you lose it slowly, in my opinion.
