No working out :-(

So I ended up in the ER early this morning due to severe back and abdominal pain. Never have I felt something like this!
So...IV drugs administered. Pain somewhat decreases.
Dr thinks it's kidney stones so he orders a CAT scan. Results = no stones but excess fluid around my pelvis. Maybe a ruptured cyst or twisted ovary, he thinks. Let's do an ultrasound now.
Great! Fricken Fantastic (insert sacasm)!
After 4 hours of being there, Dr comes back in and says he doesn't know what to tell me. Nothing shows up on ultrasound either. Thinks it's a muscle spasm and tells me no excercise for a week and can't lift more the 20 LBS.
Again (insert sarcasm) Awesome!! What the hell am I to do with myself now??
He also said to come back because I deserve a 2nd look if I am not better in a week. Nice guy but that's just all BS!!!!
Can't wait for the bill either. I don't have health insurance yet
Great way to end my 20's...NOT!

Know the feeling.
I have had back pain for the last week. Had trouble with lower back since a car accident 4 years ago.
Usually muscle spasms.
Has the doc given you any kind of anti-inflammatory?
Usually works within a week for me but we are all different.
Unfortunatly my back is still stuffed so heading to the doc's today as the anti-inflammatory's I normally have are not working.
Take the time to relax.
If you anything like me you can still walk. I was barly moving last Monday but today I am back to doing 2 mile walks with no pain. Just seize up when I am sat for too long hence the Doc visit.
You will be back in the gym before you know it)
Hope the pain gets more confortable soon.0 -
Can you go on walks? I had a pinched nerve in my lower back and walking it out really made me feel better, plus it was all the exercise I could do.0

Take a rest day, I know it is frustrating but if you don't give your body time to heal then it will just be worse! Try to do simple things while resting, for example leg raises while laying down. While sitting, practice having good posture, contracting your abs. Go on walks if you can too. I'm sure you'll be back on track in no time, don't be discouraged!0

Thanks everyone!
I will stick to light walking but will definitley follow doctors orders.
He gave me IBU 800 and flexerall, although I am going to wait to fill them.0
