Do you workout the night before your weight in?

I'm wondering what works for you? I know that ever body is different, and will react to different scenarios differently, but in general what works for you?

Do you workout hard the night before you weigh in?
Eat right all day, drink lots of water and rest?
Have a light work out?

Do you think it makes a difference at all?

I think consumption of food/water will make a difference more-so than exercise, unless you're intentionally trying to deplete all fluids before you weigh in.

Either way though, it's silly in that you're not actually losing fat by trying to manipulate the number you see on the scale.
  • I don't do anything special before my weigh in. Other wise it feels like im cheating myself lol

i work out 7 days a week so yes, i work out the day before. :-) i eat the same the day before my weight in as i do every other day of the week, and i make sure to drink lots of fluids. i wake up, go to the bathroom, strip, and step on the scale every sunday morning! really though, other than weighing in, i don't treat saturday/sunday and different than any other day of the week.

Exactly. If I were to change my routine I would be creating a false number anyway.

I weigh in on Fridays and my rest day is Monday, so naturally I DO workout the day before my weigh-in, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. I try to be sure I get plenty of water and watch my sodium intake, but I try to do that on a daily basis anyway. I really don't do anything special on Thursdays to prepare for my Friday weigh-in...one day of working your *kitten* off isn't going to pay off nearly as much as consistently working your *kitten* off.

I too weigh in on Sunday Mornings, after using the bathroom and stripping. Although I don't work out 7 days a week I don't do anything special...

I just do the same thing each day
And weigh in at the same time each weigh in
I weigh a bit more at night...after dinner...vs the morning

Sounds like trying too hard ... I only (accurately) weigh once per month and am looking for a trend. Seems to be working for me !

Agree 100%. I tried a "real world" diet club immediately before MFP, and packed it in when I realised I NEVER ate lunch on a monday, or had a drink after 3pm, as it would 'show on the scale'. Not saying it was the clubs fault - it was mine - I just realised that a public weekly ritual was unhealthy for me. Now I get weighed when I feel like it, and better understand how my weight naturally fluctuates. I feel much better for it.
