Ok, who's done it. Who's logged there daily cleaning as "calories burned"?? ME ME! BUT not anymore! Who was I fooling, besides myself, that the crap I do every damn day is "excersize". Well I'm not going to do that anymore,so no more eating those calories back! I've been stuck at 192 damn lbs for 2months,I'm thinking this AND eating those calories is the problem...here's hoping!

  • My dailing cleaning I don't count, but the other days when I mop floors, scrub toilets, all that "fun" stuff, I do count as exercise. The cleaning you do everyday is just part of your lightly active lifestyle

For what it is worth I think you are right! So many of my friends log these calories and eat them back and they are completely stalled out.....

Best of Luck, my fingers are crossed for you! :drinker:

I don't typically log that either, but let me confess that yesterday I strapped on my HR monitor for some serious house cleaning and yard work.....and I did log 1/2 the time and 1/2 the calories. But your right....most days we need to be honest with ourselves if we want to lose!
  • I do put them in, because when I clean, I do clean the house. I scrub, mop, vacuum, then scrub some more and it gets pretty physical. My kids are a mess. But other than that, I don't eat the calories I've burned.

as I have said more than once.....there is a reason why they don't have housework classes at the gym...people who log this are just fooling themselves, I know it burns calories, being alive burns calories, but it's NOT EXERCISE....

Thank you for listening, please move along, nothing to see here........:flowerforyou:

I never usually record any kind of cleaning, even when it's stuff I don't do often. I figure it's "extra" cals not calculated for.

I onl log actual exercise, which is anything I user HRM for. For example, I didn't log my 10-15 min walk to my moms cause it was a leisurely walk and not something I put on workout clothes for.

Good job and good idea! I was doing it for a while (I almost feel guilty for adding "standing" as cardio for the days I went to an amusement park) I figure just record what makes you sweat.
