I find I have as many cups of either Tea or Coffee throughout the day as I like as it fills me up and stops me eating and do not log in diary.I have both with low fat milk no sugar.Just wonder if others do this.Do you think this is O.K?.

I try to log tea and coffee but I don't always do it. It's only 2 calories. But you should log the milk!

Log it as tea or coffee if it has cafeine, sugar or milk

You can log it as water if it has No Cafeine, No Carbonation and No Sugar.

    Take Care!!!
  • i log coffee only because usually i put milk and sugar in it!

tea i drink plain so it's zero cals! :)

I always log the cream, but not the coffee since it has no caloric value.

Yes I do. I log it for my own knowledge but do not count in my water intake bc it is not decaff. My own personal choice.

I don't always log the tea/coffee, but I do log whatever I put in it. I drink my tea plain, but I have to have creamer in my coffee, so I log that.

I log the milk but not the tea / coffee, and if I'm hungry I'll add / log a teaspoon of honey which is only 20 cals, but gives me an energy boost and satisfies a sweet tooth.

yes i always log it. it's really quick and because i have milk with my tea it means roughly 14 cals- it soon adds up..

I do! strangely, I do not log the milk in my coffee. I should log the milk and not the coffee, but whatever I am doing seems to be working just fine for me, so I'm gonna just go with what I'm doing.
  • I always log it...database says 2 calories each cup.

I log tea, coffee, and diet soda too. They only have a small bit of calories (anything marked 0 is <5), but it does add up and it's useful to see how much you're taking in. If you're going to look back on your diary later to see what's working for you, you'll want it to be as accurate as it can be, right?

I log it. every little bit. and although you are not adding sugar to your coffee/tea, milk contains sugar. just sayin.

My opinion: If you put milk in it, you should count milk, especially if you have several cups - you might put only a little milk in each time, but that adds up.

I only drink decaf herbal teas and I log them as water. Sometimes I log the actual tea bag but it has nothing in it so I really only do it sometimes out of boredom LOL but on the odd occasion that I do have an actual decaf coffee, I log the milk and sugar.

if it passes my lips... it gets logged =)
  • I log both coffee and tea. For the coffee, I created a database entry with 1 Splenda and a tbsp of Coffee-Mate. For tea, I usually just put a packet of Splenda (4 cals), so I enter the tea bag and sweetener separately.

I do log both coffee and tea as part of my daily water intake however. Some may differ, but basically if it's liquid, it goes in the water tally.

I log everything but more so because I like to see how much Im having of things, when I seem to be craving them etc. than because of the calorie count.

You can log it as water if it has No Cafeine, No Carbonation and No Sugar.

Are you telling me that any of those things turn the water into a solid with no water content?

Caffeine, carbonation, and sugar don't stop the drink having water in it, and being almost all water...therefore it contributes to your daily water intake.

Nope, I don't because it doesn't have any calories. If I added something that had calories, I would!

i log everything even if it has zero calories....

i would log the cream/milk...you would be surprised at a little bit of milk can add up to quite a bit of calories...

Yes. They both contain nutrients and calories. For example coffee has potassium.
