Do some exercise to get some of it back, then try again for a better tomorrow :)
  • Every second is an opportunity to improve. Plan your meals for tomorrow now, and let go of your feelings of despair.

Tomorrow is another day! You are only 220 over and it takes 3500 to gain a pound. You don't want to do it every day, but one day will not derail you! Forgive yourself and move on.

Do some exercise today, tomorrow try eating breakfast and swapping the chips at lunch and the bacon at dinner with some veggies. The donut was probably not the best choice either, not that you can't have sweets but for half that many calories you could have chosen a sweet treat that satisfies and something filling as well.
  • AGREE we all have our bad days...tomorrow will be better...whenever i start to get dangerously close i chew gum...take a walk or something to preoccupy my time

It happens. Last friday was ridiculous for me. I had promised my husband all week we'd go out to dinner & happy hour that night (mega calories). Then, when I got ready to leave for work Friday morning, I realized I hadn't set my coffee up the night before. So, I thought I'll just grab coffee on my way to work. Unfortunately I didn't have time to make breakfast AND coffee, so I ended up getting both at a fast food place.

My destination was chosen based on what I had a coupon for, and I'm not familiar with their menu. I ended up ordering something that looked relatively healthy from the picture (no description, just guessing really). I thought it was potatoes with eggs and a little cheese. Unfortunately when I took my first bite I realized that it was loaded with cheese and beneath the cheese was freakin country gravy. I knew I was in trouble and should have thrown it out but I was hungry. A double workout and a light dinner on thursday night, my tummy was grumbling so I ate it.

I got home at the end of the day and realized I had eaten a 1200 calorie breakfast. WTF? Makes me wish I lived in NY where calories are on the menu at fast food joints!

220 is easy to burn off - if you walk for an hour (3.5 mph ish) you can do it tonight. If you do more aggressive exercise it will go even faster.

Edited to say it's 8pm here too... never too late to work out... it burns more calories than sitting at the computer. ;)
  • I went way over my calorie goal, too!! But tomorrow is a new day. So just start fresh tomorrow!!

Yeah but you were under your goal yesterday... I went back several days in your diary and you are under by hundreds every day. Are you logging everything? If these numbers are accurate I wouldn't worry about going over a little today.
  • im way over my calorie goal. *sniff*.
Is going over 200 calories worth crying about?
  • It's 8pm here.
So? That's not too late to fit in a 45 minute workout!
  • I shouldnt have eaten that donut grrrrrr.
The donut is currently being digested in your system. Nothing you can do about it. Just do better tomorrow.

As long as its not an excuse to "fall off the wagon." I've done that in the past with screwing up one day and then saying why bother.
