My name is Katie and I need better eating habits!
I don't know why I do it but I tend to stuff myself right before I go to bed. I hate that feeling! No matter how much I ate that day I just eat before bed...alot.
Any suggestions?

Welcome Katie, I am not sure about stuffing yourself before you go to bed. Have you tried making a smoothie out of a banana or other fruit. Maybe it will satisfy you enough that you can go to bed comfortably.
Good luck:flowerforyou:0 -
Welcome
I used to do the same thing. :explode: Now, I drink my fiber about an hour before bedtime and this seems to help me and make me feel full
Good Luck0 -
:flowerforyou: Welcome
I have 1/4 c of M&M's every night of 210 calories. I save those cals everyday cuz I'm a CHOCOHOLIC ! I eat them nearly every night! It satisfies that I need something before bed thing alot usof seem to get!

I did the same thing. I had to find ways to distract myself.
Now when I get the urge, I drink another cup of water. Then I find something to do that occupies my hands. It's way to easy to eat just sitting in front of the TV. My best solution is to read a book. It puts something in my hands (besides chips:noway: ) and it refocuses my mind on something other than food.0 -
Welcome! I also find something to do with my hands. Also, I find that chewing a piece of sugar free gum helps because who wants to put food in their mouth if they have gum in it!0

Hi there,
Try brushing your teeth. Food just doesn't taste as good after you've done brushing. Good luck0 -
The brushing your teeth and chewing gum ideas work for me.....welcome and best of luck to you!0

Hi....and Welcome:flowerforyou: I use to eat a lot before bedtime until I heard from my doctor that I shouldn't eat any later then 8pm. I usualy go to bed around 10pm. I still eat a banana or a small bowl of raisin bran. Just as long as it fits into my calorie intake for that day. Good Luck.0

I had the exact same habit - all my extra calories were consumed at night. I just make it a rule to eat nothing after dinner. Anything I think I might want to eat, I tell myself I can have the next day. I've also created a new habit - herbal tea every night, and it had become my new routine.
If I go out at night, I either save calories from the day, or just have a diet coke instead of alcohol! I know it sounds boring, but it will keep you on track, and save you some cash too! Good luck!
