Does everything fall into place?

Increased stress means emotional eating for me. Lately i've been working myself up about what is going to happen in the future; like where to go to school after this year, what type of degree, where i should live, work, and basically what to do with my life. I find me asking myself who I am and lately I really can't answer that. It's hard to be impatient and it is hard to never know what tomorrow is going to bring.
Is anyone in the same boat as me? Does anyone have a personal experience or advice? I could really use some help.

I eat when I'm bored. When emotions kick into gear, I tend not to eat. Well, sometimes I might go to the store, buy some ice cream, and then be angry with myself for about two weeks and then just mess every other eating habit up. It's a domino effect that I'm working on.
Your future is just that, your future. No one can decide it for you, so just take it one step at a time. Start with what you want to do with your life. What's your major? Where do you want to go to school? Where do you think your job would benefit you most?0 -
our boats couldn't be more identical x[
sorry I can't offer much advice but add me and we can work through it and offer support to each other!0 -
Nope, you've got to put it there Good luck is helped along significantly by hard work.
I just had a bit of a quarter life crisis so I know what you mean but things are going better than ever now... I know it's easier said than done but remember that eating won't give you the answers you seek.0 -
All I can tell you is that - yes, eventually everything falls into place. It takes a lot of work, dedication, commitment and clear vision of what you want for yourself and your life. I hope you have understanding supportive people around you. It means a lot. The most difficult part is to learn to love and accept ourselves as we are (where we are) right now and then work hard tio improve even more.

I used to be the biggest worrier. I was a huge worrier when I was about to start college a few years ago. All I can tell you is don't sweat the small stuff. Everything WILL fall into place. Take it day by day. Don't overanalyze EVERYTHING. Pick a degree that you think you're interested in. Once you decide on your school and you get there start job shadowing, take some elective classes that you think you might be interested in. You'll find your fit. I know it's hard to not be an emotional eater, but just remind yourself to take a few deep breaths, and tell yourself it will all be okay... because it will be!0

Things have a way of working out, I know it's easier said than done, but worrying about the future just causes you to miss out on the present and really doesn't accomplish anything...The Bible says that Today has enough troubles of its own.
I know I deal a lot with worry and anxiety but I try to remind myself that Worrying is a bad habit.. It helps to look back at how far you have come and realize that you are still here so far so you must be doing something right.
I like to keep a journal, I write in it when I am worried or trying to make a big decision.... It helps me soooo much to look back at what I was worried about a month or even years ago and to see how it all worked out on its own and not for my brilliant problem solving skills, but because life has a way of working out, especially when you focus on the present and enjoy and be thankful,
I hope this is helpful, I am far from getting this lesson down in my own life, but it is agood reminder.0 -
Pick what you love, if you find out you don't love it, change! I changed my major 3 times and wound up doing something I thought I would hate that I actually love. All the Best from the voice of experience. :happy:0
