Hello everyone, I have recently had three surgeries and undergone eight months of chemotherapy. Since then I have tried to put weight back on and did so very well, weighing in at 26 pounds over weight. I am starting this journey to get the weight off and keep it off. However, my biggest goal is to eat healthier and watch my fat intake, as my cancer was in my colon from poor diet and stress. So the way I see it is I need to eat right and exercise daily. I am still on some medications that make it very hard to loose weight, but I will give it my all. Best of luck to you all, let's do this!!!!!!

you're in great company here! welcome and awesome attitude! show that cancer who's boss!
  • You are awesome! Amazing! Now that you got through the surgeries and chemo you don't want this horrible disease to make it's way back into your life. You are determined and I admire you for it!

I'm new here too and have just started tracking what I eat. I've learned a lot in just the past few days about the fat, calories, etc that the foods I normally eat have. It's a real eye opener and I think you will find it very helpful.

I've formally set a goal to walk 3 times a week but I really want to walk at least 5. I have a bad case of fibromyalgia and really want to feel better. I've decided that even if I can only walk 5 minutes some days I'm still lapping everyone on the couch! ;)

If you'd like to add me as a friend, feel free to. ((hugs))
  • I am also a recent cancer survivor. I'll be done with treatment next week. I gain A LOT of weight during treatment (common with breast cancer) and am also trying to loose/eat healthy for survival! We can do this!
