I decided today while I was at Chili's (ordering off of the Guiltless Menu, of course!) that I deserved a Margarita, so I got one of their Presidente Margaritas- anyone have any idea how many calories are in one? It's not listed on their website, and for now I just used a generic Margarita in my food diary, but I'd like to be more accurate.

Thanks

try calorie king. They have a lot of restaurant food. www.calorieking.com
  • about 500 calories in a normal size margarita so double it ,at least, if it's one of those big margaritas

Yea, it was good! It wasn't a big one- the one in the tiny martini glass that comes with the shaker.

It was the end of a VERY long session for me at work, I got my tax refund direct deposited, and I officially don't start up another session at work until after our cruise... soooooooo I said "bring on the Margarita!!" :drinker:
  • For an amazing margarita with half the calories use fresh lime and agave sweetener. Also 100% agave tequila is the best to use, although it is also the most expensive tequila- but worth it!

Tequila comes from the agave plant and the best is 100% agave like Patron, Don Julio etc. Silver is the best! It must also say on the bottle 100% agave or it is not pure agave. Tequila is the by product of agave.

Use 2 parts agave tequila mixed with 1 part cointreau poured into a shaker on ice
Add 1 full lime freshly squeezed or more if you desire and add a tsp of agave sweetener
Shake well and pour into a rock glass or strain if you prefer straight up

For flavored margaritas do the same as above and add fresh muddle raspberries etc

This will be the absolute best margarita you will ever have with half the calories!

If you can't afford 100% Agave then regular tequila will be fine too!

Well that will explain y I only lost a little this week! Went out and partied (only do it when my little brother is in back from the Army and he was in town on leave from Iraq). Had 2 BIG margarita (daquiri style) from Tumbleweed, two Jackie Chans (more then a shot they were big) and about 5 draft beers. yeah I was wasted but he is not in town much so he told me calories did not count that night. I ate before I left the house but holy crap soooo did not think there was that many calories in that stuff! Glad I dont do it often lol!
