Hey guys! :drinker:
So I have a question... when you clean your house, like REALLY clean it, do you count that as excersise minutes/calories?
I just spent an hour cleaning up my apartment and I even broke a sweat! I was down on my hands and knees cleaning spots and swifer-ing my kitchen floor like my life depended on it.
I feel like i probably burned some calories, but since i'm still planning on going to the gym today should i bother posting the cleaning activity?
Help please!

I only count it if it's really hard core. Like when we moved into this place in took 4 of us over 3 hours of VIGOROUS cleaning- I counted that. From the way you describe it, I would count it.0

I would certainly count it for some burned calories...especially if you broke a sweat for more than 30 mins!0

Personally, I only count exercise that meets 2 criteria:
1. I did the activity with the intent of "working out"
2. I broke a sweat
Maybe compromise in the middle... count it for like, 75 - 100 cals or something....0 -
I would definitley count it! I mean, you are being active just in a different way and it does increase your heart rate so yeah... you're burning calories! :-) I'm mean you're obviously not on the couch watching tv, you know? If you put it in the search as cleaning just select the vigorous one and put how long you did it for. I don't think it's exactly accurate to how many calories you burned but hey, if it works... it works!0

I would count it! I now actually look forward to deep cleaning, since I know it is a work out. My husband says the house has never been as clean as it has the last two months, because now I actually enjoy cleaning.0

I dont count mine... I dont break a sweat either, but when you do go to the gym still give it 100%...
I heard when you do the same exercises over and over your body is used to it.... This way you can push past that tired/ hard part of your work out and really burn some calories!!0
