Oops I should've titled it HOW to begin maintaining..

I'm on my last 23lbs & though I'd like to lose them quickly, it'd be better if I lose them slowly since I want to begin upping my calorie intake. As of today I'm at 1200 cals, I've tried upping them from 1250,1270,1300, all within a month & a half span...I was losing weight but then started gaining so I ended up going back to 1200.

Anyhow, for those who are at goal & maintaining...at what point did you start upping your calorie intake?

I've been "maintaining" for about 4 months now. To start maintenance I didn't up my calories everyday, instead I just added a day or two each week where I splurge and don't really log or track calories. I don't go crazy on these days but I don't worry too much about eating what I want to eat. It is working for me. I've stayed in the same 3 pound range so far.

I've done something similar. I still hit the gym every day, but I eat without logging now, and my weight has been holding steady for two months now. I've upped my calories, but lower than before I started, and so far, so good.
