hiya, i have some mince defrosting for tomorrows dinner, but not sure what to put with it as i would normally have spagetti but i noticed its very high calories. anyone have any other ideas??

  • you can use spaghetti squash its a nice substitute for spaghetti, you just cut it in half, bake them in the oven... then fork out the insides it looks just like spaghetti and tastes just as well i think but is a lot healthier

    I had spaghetti last night....just no noodles. lol sounds weird but it was good :-)

    I believe alot of people make faux spaghetti out of veggies.. I'm not a pasta fan So I'm not sure myself.. Simply check out sights like allrecipes.com and browse is my advice :)
  • julienne zucchini and carrots, blanch and serve with the sauce. Also there are some great pastas that are made from Quinoa, Jerusalem Artichoke, etc.. good luck! :smile:

    I'd mix it with a bag of frozen veggies, some Worcestershire or soy sauce, some spices (I personally go with paprika, black pepper, and allspice) and then toss them with some wild rice, brown rice, barley, or some other healthy carb for a warm salad..
