So before I started MFP I HATED getting on the scale, I dreaded the number lurking, staring me in the face... I know that I only lost 3lbs so far, but it is such a good feeling to step on the scale and see it go lower than before. I can see why everyone on here loves having friends. Because everyone is so motivating.. Good luck to Everyone on here!!!

This is only the beginning. Just as an FYI: it isn't a smart idea to step on the scale everyday. I have developed an addiction to it (after a year) in which I am trying to break. It also becomes depressing when you stop losing all the time or hit a plateau (which will happen at some point). Try only weigh-in once a week - it is much healthier for you.

I try not to step on it every day, I just have to do it a few times a week.. if I don't then I don't realize when I really need to back off because I feel as if I am doing okay. If the scale is tipping to the more side then that means I am not doing something right and I need to correct my actions. I only log it once a week though.
