Help Early Rising

I have to be at work at 8AM. This means leaving my house at 7, which has me up at about 630. I am looking for motivation to get me up around 5 and get to the gym for morning cardio so I can focus more on weights for my nightly trip to the gym. I KNOW that once I got up and moving I will feel fine but I'm afraid just getting out of the bed will be SO hard. Any tips? What do you guys do?

Can you go to bed early? You shouldn't sacrifice sleep to work out and should aim for a minimum of 7 hours of sleep. Do your cardio after weights at night. There's no need to spend 2+ hours working out every day.0

I have a lot easier time waking up if I am looking forward to a good workout. Pick something that gets you excited to do like a class. I also watch seasons of tv shows while working out. I have to wake up if I want to watch the next episodes. Sometimes when there is a cliff hanger, I cannot wait to wake up in the morning to watch the next episode!0

Treat it like an important appointment that you must must must do!!!!! The more dedicated you are to doing this, it will become a 'habit' - and thats a good habit to make, right!??0

Ask yourself this.
Do you like to go to the Gym?
Do you like the way it makes you feel?
Does it help you wake up?
I found that I can get up early, even though I would be dragging my *kitten* out of bed after 4 hours of sleep, I could still muster the motivation to be there because I knew it would wake me up. The stimulative effects of the gym was enough motivation for me. Once I do it a few times, my brain begins to work as though I'm hypnotized.0 -

I'm the same way I'll give it my first try tomorrow!0 -

I had a crazy week last week and was sleeping 5-6 hours a day. I managed to find time to go to the gym but I definitely had less energy and reduced performance.0 -

Understandable. I figure if I can fall asleep by 10.... I can get up at 5. It didn't work this morning lol but I will give it another go tomorrow.0 -
Is there anyone else who will work out with you early in the AM? I meet up with a friend at 5 AM to run and knowing that somebody else is waiting on me motivates me to get up. Then once you get used to getting up early its not so bad.0

No way, I WISH! I will even have to leave the bed quietly to try and not wake the boyfriend, who thinks I am crazy! Haha. Thats sorta motivation in itself, he doesn't think I can do it. (He has to drag me out of bed at 630)0
