My last nightmare was a few nights ago, and it was a mixture of zombie apocalypse and nuclear holocaust. I was in some unidentifiable city when the zombies took over, and then there were constant nuclear explosions outside and circling the city far enough away that the city wasn't destroyed, but close enough and frequent enough that it made escape from the city impossible. Every time I'd get close to escaping another bomb would go off, and then I'd be surrounded by zombies again. It was absolutely horrifying, and I am glad I woke up finally after one of the bomb blasts.

    Wow, that sounds terrifying. My fiancee has post-apocalyptic dreams all the time. That's probably a consequence of watching stuff like Terminator every day. I never remember my dreams long enough to explain them to anyone. :(

    I woke up (in the dream) and Danny Devito was in my bed.

    It was bad.

    whoa! not nearly as freaky..but to me it is! I really have a hard time seeing my sons elbow out of place! Theres not a day that goes by that I dont cringe about that! I have nightmares about that!

    sometimes I dream theres mice in my bed -- they say that has to do with stress ,,, but I don't know. I will say its a bad idea to watch either dexter or ghost hunters before falling asleep.

    it was about a week and a half, two weeks ago and I was 2 and a half weeks from my competition. I turned out to be this exact size and PREGNANT and did NOT know it during the entire pregnancy. I was taken to the hospital, had the baby and for some reason unbeknownst to me, gave it away. I hauled out of there and to the competition as fast as I could and missed it by minutes.... Ok, so not scary, but completely FREAKY.

    I can't decide if it's a nightmare or just a really weird dream. It was scary, then stupid. Would take a while to type out lol.

    This isn't my most recent one, but I used to have recurring nightmares during times of stress. In my dreams, I was laying down exactly where I had fallen asleep, so either on the couch or in bed. I would hear the door open and someone walking towards me, only I was completely paralysed. I thought I was awake, though. The person would approach me and I could hear them breathing, but couldn't make a sound, open my eyes, or move. They would stab me in the neck.

    Then I would slowly wake up and be able to move. The reality of these dreams taking place where I was sleeping made them quite vivid and frightening. It took about 5 of them before I was able to talk myself into knowing they were dreams and that put a stop to them.

    It's horrible that I don't get enough REM to dream about 99% of the time, but at the same time I'm glad because I rarely have nightmares.

    I had one a few months ago where I was in prison, but it was in a basement hallway, and I was to be executed by having my head chopped off. There was something about a gigantic spider and other prisoners. The guard trusted me, so gave me the knife while he left. Then I woke up. New sleep medicines screw with my head.

    My bad dreams always involve me being somewhere as a hostage or someone trying to kill/hurt me and me trying to use my wits to get myself out of it safely.

    Does this mean I'm secretly a spy that's been brainwashed to not remember my missions? :huh:

    i dream nothing but rainbows and butterflies....it's during the day when i'm awake when the nightmares begin.

    That sounds like lucid dreaming to me. Scary stuff. Your mind is partially awake, but you are still in a dream state so your body is paralyzed (which happens normally during REM sleep) and you still have hallucinations.

    My last nightmare I was at my stepfather's house with my mom & a couple other people & he attacked me. So, I grabbed a gun(not sure where it came from) & shot him. He didn't die. I had to shoot him 2 more times before he quit trying to attack me. Then after I thought all was ok I realized he had been working on some kind of potion to resurrect himself. It was awful. Did I mention he's an evil evil man?

    Yeah, that crap is creepy. I had one of those a couple weeks ago. Was sitting in a chair in the living room and thought I was falling. I was "screaming" for my roommate to help me but he wasn't coming to help me... just kept typing away on his computer. Didn't mention that since it wasn't technically a nightmare since everything I described hearing was accurate, so I was "awake". *shudder* thanks for that memory :wink:

    For me it's when I dream I'm being stabbed by an assailant who breached into the house. Then I try to fight back and he harms my family. I've woken up to this dream a few times and actually walked the house and checked the rooms so I could go back to sleep. It's been awhile though.

    I became addicted to eating human flesh. I killed my sister, and began to consume her, when my husband came home. I paniced and hid her body in the closet, and he knew anyway. He wasn't mad. He was just glad that b!tch was dead. He joined me in my feast, and afterwards we left our house to find another meal.

    It was a few years ago.

    I had a dream that I was in my garage with my daughter in her carrier, and this monster was trying to make me throw the carrier with her in it.

    I stil shudder thinking about it.

    Most of my dreams have a dark, melancholic, disturbed undertone, so my nightmares are usually...bad haha...

    Sometimes I am murdered even. :3

    I dreamed that some friends of mine thought I was pregnant...

    Also, recently, I dreamed that one of my pet chickens got eaten by a fox. Decapitated...it was awful, and a certain professor who likes to make my existence miserable was just standing there watching. I dreamed this twice.

    Once I dreamed that I got killed by Jeffree Star. Not so far fetched...

    I feel the sensation of falling and I wake up. I am about 3' above the ground and I slam into it with a force that stuns me rendering me unable to move but fully conscious. Everything around me feels ultra sharp, ultra real; almost more real than real. I am laying on top of a small island made of green hills floating in a lake of boiling lava. The sky above seethes with storm clouds. Wind rips at my face. Suddenly, the island begins to shake and surge upwards. I feel terror wrack my body. In desperation, I look across the fiery lake and focus my energy on the far shore. I am Transported! I land on my feet facing away from the lake; a roar like the thunder of a volcano shakes me and spins me around. I see the green hills were not hills at all but the knuckles of a huge green fist that rips into the sky like some dark beast; some demon breaking out of a prison cell that has kept it bound for many many years. The arm towers hundreds of feet into the air. Lightning flicks around it slowly at first, but then gains speed until the hand is surrounded in a brilliant glow. The fist squeezes and captures the lightning forcing it into the shape of a sword big enough to split the heavens. Now the lightning redoubles its efforts trying to blast the hand back to wherever it came from. The ricochets of that lightning strike the land all around me. Everywhere it strikes, a brilliant white, living gravestone pushes its way through the ground. Every time a gravestone pushes itself through the earth's crust I can hear sounds ... sounds like children laughing; happily, without fear, with trust in me, that I will protect them. The lightning sword lances upwards and splits the thunderclouds, forcing them to be rent asunder. The split in the clouds reveals the face of the full moon looking angrily downward. His cold face banishes the lightning forcing the hand to submerge until it has become a small island with green hills in a lake of fire. The clouds swirl thickly and cowl his head as he turns away..... but not before I see the green tint that has infected his face and the cruel look transforming his eyes. And I KNOW, I TRULY KNOW that somehow through my inaction and inability to repay the trust placed in me I have caused the deaths of millions of children and have become a pariah, a person whose name will only be spoken in hushed whispers and then only to be cursed.

    I have nightmares all the time. Most recently my tooth cracked and was broken in half... half of it was gone the other half was still in my mouth and it was bleeding everywhere and no one would help me.

    another 1 is we are driving on the highway and my door flings open and i fall face first but am caught on something and my face scrapes along the pavement

    and I constantly have dreams where I am running from Vampires, sometimes I can fly away from them

    :cry: Mine was probably 4 nights ago. I dreamt I was at the front door because my dog was barking at it. So I opened it and there was a cute bull dog on my front mat looking right at me. I then look up because I see a shadow of a man. It was just a tall shadow of a man. My dog is going crazy by this time and I slam the door hard but the guy pushes back. I'm struggling with him back and forth. I'm using my body to hold door closed but he hits it and it opens. He then grabs me, pushes me down right there in my foyer (which by the way, everything was the same exact as in real life, usually something is different like different carpet color or different door color) stomach down and he is over me and has his hand over my mouth. I am trying to scream and am fighting him back but he had me..

    I woke up trying to scream, moving about. It was scary.

    I had this dream last night where I was at school and trying to find my friend from Elementary school, I was in this toolshed and then I apparently teleported into this pinkish red room. I saw this little rabbit/cat/bird figurine and I touched it, upon my touch, it moved. I left it alone and walked into another room with a bed in the corner, I went under the bed to find my brothers best friend. I sat down beside him under the bed and I remember my dream self being filled with complete terror as I heard a child-like giggle. I pressed against my brothers friend and said "I love you like a brother." and my dream self was thinking "I want this dream to end" and how ironic is it that after my dream self thought that, my brothers friend and I both were murdered.
