I'm just starting to exercise again. I know a lot of people here love Beachbody workouts. Is Power 90 worth the purchase?

I bought the P90x 3 years ago and lost 40lbs in the 90 days like it said. However becareful and pay attention
to your body. I ended up reinjuring a knee that stopped my work outs until this August. Now I use Ab-ripper X,
exercise bike, exercise ball, and the total gym. Oh, and count my calories and portion control.

    Hi

Power 90 is good if you have not worked out in a long time, I tried P90X, felt it was too advanced for me, figured i would try Power 90 first then go to P90X, and it was good at first, but i quickly needed something more. I am not saying it is bad, so, if you are at a starting level, then I would say yes, it is worth it, if intermediate, I would say no, it is not.

I am doing P90X right now, and my wife started with me two nights ago. I love it. Love it! It's a big challenge, of course, but as my wife found out her first night Tony goes out of his way to express that you need to work at your own pace. For me, I've never done a pull up, and I have a real struggle with push ups. So I do them on my knees, and Tony says in the videos that's ok, until I'm ready for what's next. As long as you're bringing the intensity for your self, you're going to see great results.

Kregerems mentioned being careful. I would, with any exercise program. I wrap my right knee because I'm double jointed and I could easily injure myself until the muscle there is stronger. I'm also 42. LOL I believe everyone should watch themselves with any exercise program, and there is no exercise where that is not true. I am mainly saying this, obviously, because I don't want anyone to be scared off from P90X. It's rough! But there's little chance of injury.

Good luck with whatever you do!
