Welcome to mfp! In the beginning of this journey (May) a friend got a great tip from coworkers. They found this bread called Joseph's Flax Oat Bran & Whole Wheat Lavash Bread (wraps). One whole sheet is 100 calories, but I use 1/2 for a sandwich. This cuts down on calories so much! I add Deli fresh turkey or roast beef with reduced fat cheese, etc.... for lunch. Here a couple more tips that have helped me along the way:

    - think new, healthy lifestyle change, NOT diet - diets and new exercise programs are temporary - think of it like a new beginning
    - make sure to have healthy snacks with you to eat every couple of hours - apples, celery sticks with laughing cow light cheese, etc
    - log everything! if you have the iPhone app, even better - they have a scanning feature so you can scan your items and log them
while making your lunch in the morning, etc and plan ahead..
    - don't waste tons of non-nutritious calories on bread, sugar loaded drinks, etc... drink tons of water and sugar-free drinks if you have
to drink soda (just not worth it to me)
    - if you have to attend a function at a restaurant, plan ahead and go on line - so many restaurants have skinny menus now or post
their nutrition info so you can see how many calories it'll cost you for dinner - if it's a lot, get a workout in and/or eat a little lighter
during the day so you can join them - has worked for me so many times!!
    - be careful of alcohol = packs a real punch as far as calories! I used to love Reisling but don't have it too much anymore but I do
bring low calorie flavored beers, etc with me if I go to a party to be social and not ruin the whole night so I can have an appetizer if I
    want

Well that's a few that I can think of for now.. best of luck on your journey and make sure to scan the posts on here as there are tons of success stories and pointers that can also help you...

I don't know how much you want to lose, but Christmas is a goal for me (hopefully) - but whether it be 1 lb or 100 lbs, it's all about planning ahead and having a positive attitude to do this for you!! Go get 'em, you can do this!!!

Hi again, type in baked potato and I saw a couple of options... unless you are cooking them another way - mashed may even come up - good luck!
