    Hi Siobhan,

Welcome to MFP. You can definitely loose your weight if you ensure that you exercise and eat your calories. Make sure that you eat your exercise calories also and you will see results. But remember, it doesn't happen overnight and if you do have a bad day, week, month, that doesn't matter. Just start again. Remember you are doing this for you!

hi there! welcome. i too am a mummy, but my little girl is 18months old, so you've got one up on me in that you're making changes this early after having your baby!

i've only been doing this 11 days but have already lost 7lbs and have found it quite easy. i've still eaten the same things as the rest of my family and managed to have a few treats too whilst sticking within my calorie limit. feel free to add me and ask any questions as they arise

good luck with the new healthier eating regime (not diet, that's a bad word!)

Thank you for your warm welcome Everyone!

I'm so determined it's unreal. And yes, Diet...Bad, Bad word! As long as I keep thinking that, I think I'll be fine.

  • Welcome! Consider yourself warned ... this site is extremely addicting!

I have an additional 60-70 lbs to lose myself ... all the awesome people I have met definitely make it easier!
  • Feel free to add me as I'm on the same journey. My goal is eventually to reach 80lb loss - it's not going to be easy, but one thing I have learnt is that MFP is bloody fantastic. So much great advice from so many genuine people...

Good luck on your journey - we can achieve whatever we set our minds to..
