You don't have battered sausages?! How bizarre! Chips and gravy seems to be a northern thing though, I've always thought that was weird.

I'm a Londoner, currently residing in Bath. It's always nice meeting other Brits on here.

Nope, none. When I travel down south and nip into the chippy, the sausages are always battered - I think that's weird.

Anyone ever heard of Grimsby? I'm from near there... not technically within Grimsby though, but it's probably the nearest place anyone's ever heard of :(

I must say I've never gotten on with battered sausages, they always have bucketloads of grease in them, disgusting. But they're still a chip shop staple!

Battering anything is a bit weird really, but we seem to like to do it anyway. I am meant to be going to a friends' house sometime this week for fried battered mars bars! That'll be my calorie intake for the day right there....

Ehm. I'm not sure? I think we probably do. I'm not a big fan of chippies but I think you can get sausages either with batter or without

I'm American but I live in London...

Defintely different issues over here and I would put chips at the top of the list. Though I'd find it harder to not be tempted by an ulitmate cheesebuger from Jack in the Box...
