Do you log your Sick weight?

Hello! I was sick for 2 days with a stomach bug and on day 1 I managed to stay slightly under my calories and on day 2 I stayed well under my calories because I just couldn't eat much at all. All I ate was toast, crackers and fruit in hopes that it wouldn't come back up (sorry, I know that's gross).
Today I feel much better. I jump on the scale and says I've lost a little over 2.5 lbs. I am so tempted to log that in because I've reached a huge milestone BUT I am afraid to log it in and then see the number climb back up tomorrow.
Do you or have you ever logged in "sick weight"? If so, did it stay that way or did the number on the scale jump back up?
Thanks!

If the weight loss is simply from dehydration, then your body will recover within a day or two. It really is up to you if you want to log it- it sounds like you know where the weight loss came from. Hope you are feeling better!0

Hello,
You should wait a few days before you log your weight. You have lost 2.5 pounds of water weight and It may come back as soon as you start to eat normally. Continue on your eating and workout routine and you will be fine.

If I lose weight quickly for whatever reason I give it a day or two just to make sure it's right0

I was sick for a day or two and logged the 2.2 lbs I lost but it did come right back up the next couple of days and then started to decend normally again. I don't know why. I heard that it has to do with your metabolism slowing down, but I have no idea why. I logged mine down then up and then finally down again. If I could do it over agian (which I wouldn't because I hate being sick) I would log it then drink as much water as I could. Good luck0

no it's not weight lost. you just lost a bunch of water weight. After a week or so you'd see even more of a loss which would be wrong too. I don't log sick weight because when you can eat normally again, it'll jump back up and then you'll just be mad. Don't even weigh yourself.
when I had wisdom teeth pulled I didn't eat for 5 days and lost 5 pounds. Then the next week when I could finally open my mouth, I gained it all back, rightfully so.0 -
Only log it if you will be ok with it potentially going back up. Its probably dehydration weight loss - so you will regain it within a few days.0

Hey there, congrats on your weight loss and on getting better! Unfortunately, I would think that the weight loss is water weight from not holding down food and simply not eating much of anything. You could log it, but the problem with that is that in a couple of days your weight will probably jump up a couple of pounds again and you'll be disappointed I'd give it 3 days of being back in the game and not sick and see what the scale says...then log it! Good luck!0

Oh I definitely log it haha. Then I just won't log weight again till I get back down there. Is it kind of cheating? Yes, but I am grumpy and need a pick me up when I am sick haha.0

I am so tempted to log but I think I will wait a couple of days and see what the scale does since it probably IS dehydration loss. I am however VERY excited to even see that number on the scale. It totally made my day and makes me feel like I'm well on my way to reaching my goal. Thanks to all!
