I'm not sure if its effective or not, but I do different workouts every day, because thats what works for me. My typical week has two days of all out cardio, two days of strength training, and two days of yoga. If i do the same thing everyday my body starts to feel beat to death, but switching it up for some reason it feels better. But this just may be how my body works!0

You should change up the workouts! it's more effective as far as fat loss and weight in general! And if you gain a little weight it's probably muscle and Don't ever weight yourself after a workout; you'd think you would be lighter but no, because you are working your muscles they get swollen because you're wokring them out! do it in the morning when the body is rested!0

No: more resistance/speed or a different muscle group.0

You should be doing some kind of strength resistance training along with your cardiovascular training.
Example:
Mon: Strength Training - 60 mins max
Tues: Cardio HIIT Training - 30 mins is enough
Wed: Strength Training - 60 mins
Thurs: Cardio HIIT Training - 30 mins
Fri: Strength Training - 60 mins
Sat and Sun: Off days.0 -
I do the same workout for awhile, then I get bored so I switch, and so on and so forth. Probably helps workout different areas.0

It isnt becuse you are going to eventually get bored. Mix it up when you feel the need. If it gets to easy fro you and your scale is not moving you will need to move on.0

Sounds like your diet wasn't in order at first. You may have adjusted your diet over time and now you are losing weight.
Losing weight is about controlling calories in or controlling the amount of calories burned or both. If you lose calories that what your maint level is, then you will lose weight.
Doing the same arm exercises are good but need to make sure to get a better balance of exercises. Balance is key. Biceps = triceps, abs = back, etc. It gets more specific but this is what a good beginner exercise works you on. There are even body weight exercises (using your weight without extra weight) as ways to start working out if you dont have access to a gym or weights.
Edited: You are doing great on the bike, but I would switch it up some as well. Unless there are reasons you couldn't, I would recommend walking on some of those bike days too! The reason is your muscles are getting use to sitting down on a bike and rotating the same way. This is good if you plan on biking but if you are wanting to be able to run, you should practice walking/running to actually build those muscles too. /end edit
So to answer your question, if you have extra calories on MFP that you have not ate up, you will lose weight. This is the theory of calories in vs calories out.0 -
I think most people change it up out of boredom from doing routine than trying to get the most effective weight loss. You would PROBABLY benefit from doing other things, like elliptical or different types of bikes (lower vs. higher), but I say if you're seeing results and are happy with how you feel afterwards then you're fine as you are.0
