Well, here I am again trying to find a successful way to keep me on track. like others I have tried so many things and been successful in most but have never kept it off. Now here I am facing my 51st birthday at the heaviest weight I have ever been at. I have found myself binge eatinig at night but only after my husband is in the shower so he won't see. That's when I knew I had a problem. There has been a lot of stress in my life over the past 2 years but that is no excuse. I know what I have to do. Just maybe by writing it down again I can get to my goal again.

Oh Pickle - I know how you feel. There was a time when I hid my binging - I would get excited when I knew my husband would be going out as if I was a crack addict waiting for my next fix. I think he sometimes thought I was pushing him out the door so I could see another man.

But you can change the behavior. Journaling every bite of food (including the binges) helped me. When I saw that I could binge away an entire day's allotment of calories - or saw how long it would take to work those calories off at the gym - I got some control.

I still have the urges - and sometimes I still give in - but its not a regular occurrence anymore.

Good luck - and we're all here to support you.
