Satisfactory results achieved only by means of low-carb

Has anyone else had this problem? My body seems to respond best when I bring my daily carb intake down to under 50g. When I follow a diet where I'm all whole grain, fruits, and veggies as carbs my weight HARDLY budges. Combined with my workouts the only diet that gives me any sort of satisfactory results is going low carb. Hmm... Any insight?

I have the same problem. I have to be low carb or practically starving to see the scale move.

If that is what works for you....do it? Some people struggle low carb, others do very well. Make sure you find a way to make it sustainable for you.

Have you noticed if you feel physically better when on low carb? It might be a gluten issue and going low carb is cutting the level of gluten in your body, which can lead to weight loss/overall improved health.
  • Mainly Low Carb has been the ONLY thing to work for me, and I am thankful, THAT SAID... I do on some days have more than what my day allows, BUT low carb... NOT no carb, is how I find weight loss success, its also something that for me is easily maintained :)

Yes I have that problem too. My body is resistant to insulin so low carb diet works best for me. Right now I am just eating whole grain carb and some fruit but I'm barely shedding the pounds. I do, however, feel healthier and more energized than when I was on a low carb diet. I did the southbeach diet a few years back and lost a lot of weight on it (25lbs). You should look into it. Check up with your doctor. Your body might be resistant to insulin.

Some are just more sensitive to carbs than others. If it works for you, keep at it!

I'm the same. I struggled all Spring and Summer with keeping my calories low and eating low fat and I lost the same 5 pounds over and over. Since cutting carbs consistently below 90 grams, and many days much lower, I've lost those 5 pounds plus another 5 and am now very close to my goal.

At this point, I'm about to switch to maintenance and I'll be keeping my carbs under 100 grams on a regular basis, with the occasional cheat day.

Yes, I easily lose weight when I do low carb. Eating carbs seems to really bloat me and makes me crave really badly.

A simply search of the forums would have brought out the answer to your question...instead we shall host another convention. Let the accolades, denials, and general WGAF's commence.

And here I thought something was wrong with me! I guess its a lot more common than I thought! I too get crazy strong cravings when I eat a lot of carbs (or rather a normal amount), gain weight, become bloated, and extremely fatigued.

whoo! Guess someone has the I'm hungry grouchies!!! Sorry, TROLLS not welcome. But thanks! I have done your so called "simple" search of all low-carbers. But none specifically of ones that find NOTHING but low carb to work. Thanks though! :)

Does another post on a message board really tick you off that badly??

Seriously. People on this site are ridiculously rude.

The part I'm finding the funniest is that there are no "accolades, denials, and general WGAF's" commencing.
