So i didnt know if it was bad to like..show a picture with me in my..undies i guess on lol because i wanted to know i guess what people thought? not if i was like good looking or anything but i CONSTANTLY think im fat. Like I have almost no self esteem and i know alot of people on here probably dont either..its just really hard for me to take compliments because I guess I havent really gotten any attention and i see all these pretty, skinny girls getting attention so i think that theres obviously something wrong with me then and I dunno. My measurements are like..31, 30-30.5, 38...its that bad? Cause I know for my hips and waist its above average or the "perfect measurement" for a girl so i guess i was just wondering..

Im a bit confused. What is your question exactly?0

Posting a pic of yourself in your underwear on ANY social website is just asking for trouble.0
-
You are such a beautiful girl and it is a shame that you jhave not been told more. I don't see anything wrong with your measurements and I don't think you should either. Hold your head up high and enjoy life. You are too young to feel so bad about yourself. ((Hugs))0
-
Oh okay got it now xD
Those measurements arent bad, but they aren't ideal. Thats what this site is for :] Always room for improvement!0 -
First of all, there isn't anything wrong with you. There isn't anything wrong with any one. You're just being you, which is totally cool, but it just sound to me you have to learn to be comfortable with that and if losing weight means it'll help you be comfortable with yourself do that, but if you're losing weight so that you can get attention and be like "skinny girls" i don't think you're doing it for the right reasons.
I'm not so good at judging peoples size by measurments but by the looks of your picture, it doesn't seem like you're over weight. I struggle with confidence issues myself and I know excersising regularly and eating healthier really helped me. I wouldn't go to the beach because I didn't want to be seen in a swimming costume etc. but I've changed my diet and lost a little bit of weight (only a little, not much) and actually found myself at the beach. So it really helped me. It might help you too.
In answer to your question, I think it is appropriate to post a picture in your undies, but you have to ask yourself if you really need a strangers opinion about your weight or whether you're better off deciding what's good for you.
I really wish you luck and I hope you can grow to be comfortable with yourself.0 -
You are a beautiful young lady. Your measurements are fine. "Ideal" measurements are a matter of perspective. Instead of tearing yourself apart on what "others" think are IDEAL measurements, look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are beautiful inside and out. Life is way too short for you to dwell on what others think. In the end, it matters that you love you for who you are and not what people think you are. You are still very young with your whole life ahead of you. Posting pic of yourself in your undies isn't the way to get validation good or bad. Make peace with yourself and move on from there. I wish you the best in your journey to find yourself because you do need to find who you are. If you take only one thing from my post, I hope that one thing is....you are a beautiful young lady. :flowerforyou:0

your diary shows you eat cookie dough, jelly donuts, marshmallows and honey puffs...whatever they are....and catergorize a chewable vitamin as a "meal". you chug down soda and woman's day "fat flush soup".....wth? and then ask what people think about you in your underwear.
you are either trolling this forum or have serious nutrition issues that cannot be solved in the form of general posting.0 -
kay, the chewable vitamin is suppose to be in a different section but i was to lazy to change it. i know what im talking about and thats all that reeeally matters. andd honey puffs is a cereal. and the other stuff is because ive been craving sweet stuff lately especially since its almost "that time of the month" so its hard for me to resist and stuff. im not trying to be a troll or anything. and i asked about the underwear thing so people can seee where i wanna lose weight and i was only WONDERING what other peoples averages are. i didnt post a picture like that but i have seen other people do it and i thought it would be better to ask about it first. thats all. and i know i have nutrition issues, i have like..a HUGE sweet tooth that i try not to eat anything bad but it gets hard sometimes. so, yeah.0

I understand your frustrations with her menu, I too took a look and there is definatly room for improvement but I think her main concern is her low self esteme and problems with validation. I don't agree with her choices in her menu, but I wouldn't go so far as to call her a "troll" just misinformed and lost. What I got from her question is that she is wanting validation as anyone her age wants and because she is so young and has not had as much life experience as some of us elders, she is looking to us wise ones.
Take care.0 -
I, personally, do not feel comfortable posting pictures of myself in my underwear. I can guarantee that you don't personally know everyone on your friends list so posting that kind of stuff probably is not a good idea. Weight loss is for you. Not for other people. And if you're doing it for the attention of others, then you probably need to prioritize. For self esteem issues this is what I did, everyday take an index card or post it note and through your journey write down something you like about yourself and post it on a bulletin board or on your fridge. It can be anything, maybe you like your eyes, the definition you're seeing in your arms, that you're kind etc. Then when you feel down, look back at what you wrote and remember all those things you said you liked. I hope this helps!0

Love this!!! I will have to try that. So often we forget to love ourselves.0 -
How tall are you? You should really specify this when asking about your measurements. A 30 inch waist looks different on a girl who is 6 feet tall v. 5 feet tall.0

I get the same cravings during MTOM. I understand0 -
sweet heart,do not post yourself in your undies that is your private business and it does not say a thing about "who you are" showing a body part is just that, its just apart of a human body and im sure you are so much more than that, you are a beautiful girl there is nothing wrong with you, you just have to be the one to start believing it first THEN others will follow.
you also said...I have almost no self esteem and i know alot of people on here probably dont either.
ahh we beg your pardon...you have got to change the way you think, we all have A LOT OF SELF ESTEEM, self worth and self value, when you know it and have these things on the inside it shows on the outside, we are strong, healthy people living everyday to the fullest and loving every minute of it, so you have a choice to make, either stand up and join us or continue to hide behind a fork and spoon and allow no one to see the true beauty within you.
let your light shine hun, you only go around once so make it as bright as you can be.0 -

mmm, very true. i apologize. i do try for the most part, just gets hard for me. but im better than i used to be so at least ive got that haha (: but thank you<30 -
I looked at your other pictures as this upside down one is hard to comprehend. You are a beautiful young lady. Please do not resort to posting underwear pictures. If other girls are getting attention, it is the wrong kind of attention. Some of the girls on this site tend to try too hard to get attention and can look a little trashy. This is a website about getting healthy. You look very healthy to me already. Keep your clothes on as do most people on this site. Surround yourself with people that will help to build your self confidence. Removing the word "Like" so much will help you to seem more confident to other people.0

Glad you liked it! It was my husbands idea . It made me feel SO EMPOWERED! And at the top of the bulletin board I wrote "I am the only me, there will ever be."0 -

Love it so much I'm gonna do this with my 9 year old... Kids learn at a early age that we should like models and this would be a good tool for her to have under her belt... positive self esteem. Thanks so much for posting this!0 -

It's against the MFP rules to post pics in your underwear. Just saying.
Also, you're not fat.0 -

I wouldn't suggest posting a picture of yourself in your underwear. It would attract the wrong kind of attention. I'm the same way, I barely have any self-esteem and find it extremely hard to accept a compliment. There's nothing wrong with you though. It all depends on your body shape too. For example, I'm a pear shape, so I would look different then someone who's a different shape but have the same measurements. And there's no perfect measurement out there for everyone. It's whatever's perfect for you and your body.0
