Been using myfitnesspal for 6 weeks now and lost 12 lbs, :0) Very happy however I am going for a curry with friends on Saturday which will include wine. Does anyone have any tips on the best curry to go for?
Also weigh did is Monday, but should i weigh myself today to see how much i have lost since Monday and then again this Monday to see that the Curry has done?
Thanks, :flowerforyou:

Nothing with coconut or anything that says creamy in the title
Loaded with cals!0 -
I went for a curry with friends a few weeks ago and I ordered a Tandoori Mixed Platter .... it came with salad instead of rice and there was sauce but it was in a separate bowl so I was able to control how much I had.0

I had this dilemma and asked my curry house which ones were the lower calorie/fat options, and they advised choosing dishes not made with ghee. I always opt for sharing a chicken tikka biryani nowadays, although even the healthier option with half a naan still breaks my calorie bank coming in at just over 1100 cals and then there's the wine to add on....!!! but mmmmmm its worth it occasionally.
I tend to save curry's for when I've had heavy excercise days so that I can justify the meal as 'eating back my excercise cals' , or you could work them off by dancing the night away with your friends afterwards
Whatever you decide, enjoy your night out and dont feel guilty about your choice... just enjoy your evening and worry about it next week!!!0 -
Veggie currys are good to go for less cals and plain boiled or steamed rice. Also red vino has less calories than white by about 30 cals a glass. From what I've read anyway.
More importantly have fun x0 -
Thanks Ladies, i went for the Bhuna with chicken, which was more tomato based. I had quite a bit of wine and the next day i had a time out choc bar (84 cals a stick, yum) tastier than kit kats too i think.
I did not lose anything on the Monday (weigh day) however i also did not put on (yey!)
Thanks again for the info Ladies. xxx0
